Sorry Ciprian Badescu I had to revert this change as described in https://github.com/puppetlabs/puppet/pull/8321#issue-482374474. I didn't account for using cached catalogs when I originally implemented PUP-1763. My bad. Could you look into fixing PUP-1763 in 5.5.x, so that if pluginsync fails and ignore_plugin_errors==false, then we still fall back to the cached catalog (if we're allowed to based on {{usecacheonfailure)? Then we can re-revert your change for this ticket?

Hi Elof Ofel, I was able to turn the v1 endpoint back on by creating a metrics.conf file in the /etc/puppetlabs/puppetdb/conf.d/ directory with the following contents.

metrics-webservice: {
mbeans: {
enabled: true
}
}
}
I did this in a Puppet Enterprise install so the location of your conf.d directory for PuppetDB might be slightly different. After this file is in place restarting the PuppetDB service should enable the v1 metrics directory. I was able to check this by hitting the http://127.0.0.1:8080/metrics/v1/mbeans endpoint which lists all available metrics. Hope that helps! Updated Facter 4 to show same values as diskutil, the only difference is that Facter calculates with 1024 (same as Facter 3) and diskutil uses 1000. Even with this difference the values in bytes are the same. In this example I updated the conversion to use 1000 as a multiplier.
