Jesse Endahl no worries. I believe the docs used to specify forward slashes in the source parameter, which msiexec can't handle. We fixed that issue in 

PUP-1286
. I'll go ahead and close this out.

Josh Cooper Sorry, I should have either updated or closed this long ago. I recall that the issue I was having turned out to be due to incorrect documentation around the Windows package provider. Specifically IIRC there was something wrong in some example Puppet code on the website. I can't remember what that was now though =/ I'll see if I can find it.

Jesse Endahl Can you also provide the output of icacls C:\opt\dbit\Firefox_Setup_30.0.exe after puppet downloads the file, but fails to install. I think the problem you are seeing is because puppet does not have permission to install the MSI.
