Title: Message Title Henrik Lindberg commented on PUP-5731 Re: Specify that Puppet Language Source must be in UTF-8 That's great - but it is not true until Puppet 4.4.0, before that it is actually ascii only and must use unicode escapes in order to be certain it works everywhere as the encoding follows default platform encoding in versions before Puppet 4.4.0. i.e. YMMW even if you actually used UTF-8 when you wrote the files. I don't think all of the code for enforcing UTF-8 is even merged yet for Puppet 4.4.0. Since many write code that is also for older versions, you may want to point out the difference before/after Puppet 4.4.0.
