There's not a specific PE 3.2 feature that requires this capability, and we're not sure how it's going to shake out in the real world so IMO it's OK to leave it out of the pe-puppet/3.2.x tree. Jira (PUP-672) Informational certificate extensions should be exposed inside the Puppet DSL
Title: Message Title Andrew Parker commented on an issue Re: Informational certificate extensions should be exposed inside the Puppet DSL I've put together some changes to add an extensions section to the trusted hash. There are still a few code changes that I want to do (Puppet::Indirector::TrustedInformation isn't a good name, for instance). I'm a little worried about the usability of this. My concern is about the names that will show up (just the OID's dotted-number form) except in the 4 or 5 cases where we defined specific extensions. A possible future change to address this might be to provide some user-defined mapping that allows giving names to specific OIDs, but I think we can add that later without any problem.
