This has passed manual validation on RedHat 7 using puppet-agen}}t at SHA {{b3e54a4 containing puppet at SHA 5e33d5f3c.
Using the test case of including postgresql::server via puppet apply as stated in the description of this ticket, the Puppet::SemVer deprecation warning is no longer emitted.

SemanticPuppet::Version or SemanticPuppet::VersionRange should be used instead (file & line not available){quote}As far as I can tell (based on printing a stack trace with {{puts}} in {{SemVer}}), this relates to the continued use of {{ SemVer }} in {{ module_tool }} , which is scheduled to be fixed in 5.0 (see linked PUP-6240). As a regular puppet Puppet user, this warning is rather confusing, since it seems to be instructing the user to fix something, but in fact the user can't fix it. As such, I suggest that the deprecation warning be removed until all uses of {{ SemVer }} are removed from puppet Puppet itself , or the condition on when to print it be fixed .
