[Puppet Users] Http error with puppet 0.25.1 and passenger

2010-02-07 Thread Asif Iqbal
Hi

I am getting all these error from each client. This log is from one of
the puppet clients

http://pastebin.com/f141edbbc

I am guessing I need to replace the
/usr/share/puppet/rack/puppetmasterd/config.ru
(http://pastebin.com/f39e8e519)

with the ext/rack/files/config.ru of puppet 0.25.1
(http://pastebin.com/f4b74220b) to fix this issue.

I am running Apache/2.2.11 (Ubuntu) mod_ssl/2.2.11 OpenSSL/0.9.8g
Phusion_Passenger/2.2.2 on ubuntu 9.04

Please advise.

A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.
Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?

Re: [Puppet Users] Puppet NYC Meetup?

2010-02-07 Thread Brian Gupta
Guys,

Sorry for the late response. I've spoken with Luke about talking at the
NYLUG meeting on the 17th, and going out for dinner/drinks afterwards. Luke
is on board, and the folks who run NYLUG are as well.

Currently we are working with IBM to reserve the meeting space for the
evening of the 17th. In all likelihood this shouldn't be a problem, but it's
not official yet.

Once the announcement goes out I will forward here, and everyone will need
to RSVP. (Please do RSVP as soon as the announcement goes out, as there is a
chance we could run out of space, as the last NYLUG puppet talk was very
well attended.)

Cheers,
Brian

Joe

Can you please log a feature request for it. I don't think it's
rocket science to change but a) I've been wrong before and b) it'll
need a little bit of testing.

Cheers

Re: [Puppet Users] Certificate BitRate

2010-02-07 Thread Patrick
This probably isn't exactly what you're looking for, but that's covered at
http://reductivelabs.com/trac/puppet/wiki/MultipleCertificateAuthorities along
with other stuff to increase security. I haven't done it myself, but it would
be a bit of work.

Hey Guys, I looked at one of my puppet certs while troubleshooting a
problem getting Splunk to use them, and I discovered they look to be
