[Puppet Users] How does puppet copy files?
Hello! Imagine that I have the following in my puppet manifest: file { '/etc/master.passwd': mode => 0600, source => 'puppet:///modules/test/etc/master.passwd', } When agent notices that master.passwd should be refreshed, how exactly does copy process happen? Is it atomic (e.g. fetch to some temp filename on local filesystem and then rename)? Or it will fetch the file over the net to the destination name (and so there is some short period of time when target file is in inconsistent state)? Thanks! -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Puppet Users" group. To post to this group, send email to puppet-users@googlegroups.com.
