Please remove that flag (only set this if storage is really shared)

They are different (so they are not shared).

Cloning to other noded only works if storage is shared on both nodes.

Hi,

Proxmox currently names backups based on the VM id number. Would it be
possible, and are there any plans for, using the VM's name instead?

This should fail! Or did you mark local storage as shared?

[PVE-User] Cloning vm

2013-09-10 Thread Luis G. Coralle
Hi all, I'm using Proxmox 3.0-20 as cluster with 2 nodes, pve1 and pve2. It
has only local storage, local(pve1) and local(pve2)

1. I create a VM, vm1-test on pve1 node.
2. I clone vm1-test from pve1 node to pve2 node named vm2-test

When clone process ends successfully, the configurations of vm2-test are on
pve2 node, but hard disc are on pve1 node. Is it ok? It should be the disc
of new clonded VM on node2? The only solution is moving the hard disk of
new VM by hand?

Thanks

Re: [PVE-User] vzdump gives "Backup job finished with errors"

2013-09-10 Thread Marco Gabriel - inett GmbH
Possible reasons:

-  Your temp storage is out of space (df h)

-  Your disk drives have errors (smartctl --all /dev/sdX)

Does this happen only with a specific VM or with all VMs?

Could you try making a backup from the command line using vzdump? Post the
output here.

Marco
