Hi,

 'D:\Program' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
 ObjectMapLoadDXFile-Error: Unable to open file!

 - something wrong in assigning a correct path name. How to fix this
error?
 I appreciate for your valuable suggestions to overcome this problem.

You're correct about the source of the problem...pymol isn't happy with
the spaces in the filenames.  The easiest way to fix this would be to use
a path without spaces (aka d:\workspace), or a shortcut to that (have
d:\workspace as a shortcut to your real working directory).  I suspect
both of these would require admin permissions (to write to top level
directories, but I'm not completely farmiliar with the windows file
permissions or user permissions.

If you don't have admin access, then things get more complicated...You'd
need to quote the full path, and escape the quotation marks in the path.

Or wait for someone more experience with window to chime in with an easier
solution...

[PyMOL] WinXP - trying to upload my own pqr :ObjectMapLoadDXFile-Error: Unable to open file!

Hi folks,

  


I am using pymol 0.99rc6. with APBS version 4.0 on window XP


Got a problem trying to upload my  PDB2PQR Server generated pqr


into pymol APBS plugin. I assume the only things to do are:


open pymol 


load my original pdb


open APBS plugin


use the use another PQR option in APBS main menu write down the file path


set grid


run APBS


unfortunately I always end up  with a ObjectMapLoadDXFile-Error: Unable to
open file!


 


Tried to change myown.pqr directory path either into pymol path, apbs path,
or up to c. Same error always


 


Do I have to locate the file somewere special? Do I have to specify the path
from C:onward?


 


Can I read AMBER forcefield PROPEKA generated pqr (PDB2PQR Server)
directly into the APBS plugin? 


 


Don't know what I am doing wrong 


 


Is there any chance to use APBS web based software to create the map from
pqr files 


And the use the plugin only to visualize the surfaces?
