Re: [PyKDE] QT/Mac to be licensed under GPL

MacNewbie question: since my last (and only :( Mac was a PowerPC 6100
running System 7.5 back in the glorious 1995, when Netscape was king and
Bill was caught pants down regarding the Internet, I was wondering if
the current MacOS (codename Jaguar or some other ferocious cat name, I
believe) can run on the i386 family of processors. Or is it still using
some Motorola processor (just to be different)?

Hi all,

I just saw this press release on Trolltech's site:

http://www.trolltech.com/newsroom/announcements/0129.html

"Trolltech today announced that Qt/Mac will be released under the GPL
(GNU General Public License) at Apple's World Wide Developer Conference
(WWDC) 2003 in San Francisco on June 23rd."
Phil, would you consider porting sip/PyQt to Qt/Mac in light of this?

Yes - but it will rely on SIP v4. And it would help if somebody donated a Mac
and development environment.
