I think we are very close. I'd like to start working on the implmentation. The modifications to the struct module is probably where I'll start. I really like the possibilities this will open up for sharing of video, images, audio, databases, between different objects. Algorithms could be written that are object agnostic and work for any object exporting the buffer interface.
