Unable to reproduce this. The output of `jupyter kernelspec list` provided shows that there is a custom install of ipykernel (python2) in /usr/local/share/jupyter/kernels/python2 shadowing python-ipykernel - maybe installed with `sudo pip install`? Try removing that version and see if the packaged kernel (/usr/share/jupyter/kernels/python2/kernel.json) works as expected. ___ Python-modules-team mailing list Python-modules-team@alioth-lists.debian.net https://alioth-lists.debian.net/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/python-modules-team

[Python-modules-team] Bug#913110: (no subject)
The report above appears to reference .local/jupyter/kernels/python3/kernel.json , which would be a user-local kernel file not installed by the package. If the kernel file is wrong, I don't think this is a bug in jupyter-notebook. If the system-installed kernel file /usr/share/jupyter/kernels/python3/kernel.json refers to python[2], that would be a bug in python3-ipykernel ___ Python-modules-team mailing list Python-modules-team@alioth-lists.debian.net https://alioth-lists.debian.net/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/python-modules-team

Hi Chris, On 4/7/19 11:45 AM, Chris Lamb wrote: Hi Ivo, Fixing this bug and reuploading now... :) Thanks for the upload. However, you included the changes from -2. Could you revert the debhelper compat bump? Sure, it was already committed prior to the freeze IIRC. Uploaded as -4, including all the changes since the -1 in buster. Thanks! I added an unblock for it (so no need to file an unblock request). (For completeness, the reason why -1 did not hit the archive is due to a pristine-tar issue; I reverted and recreated the entry on the pristine-tar branch and it regenerates correctly at build time, avoiding the REJECT when the file was "different in the archive"). Ah, that explains that... Ivo ___ Python-modules-team mailing list Python-modules-team@alioth-lists.debian.net https://alioth-lists.debian.net/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/python-modules-team

Hi Ivo, > > Fixing this bug and reuploading now... :) > > Thanks for the upload. However, you included the changes from -2. Could you > revert the debhelper compat bump? Sure, it was already committed prior to the freeze IIRC. Uploaded as -4, including all the changes since the -1 in buster. (For completeness, the reason why -1 did not hit the archive is due to a pristine-tar issue; I reverted and recreated the entry on the pristine-tar branch and it regenerates correctly at build time, avoiding the REJECT when the file was "different in the archive").
