Package: libqscintilla2-5
Version: 2.4.3-1+b1
Severity: important

I've got a US intl with dead keys keyboard layout. I'm using the Eric4 python
ide, when tooltips (popups) appear (these are provided by qscintilla), the dead
keys stop working (only for Eric). If I open the keyboard preferences window
they begin to work again.

I just ran into this today and I can confirm that the above fix allows
me to move forward with a Python 2.6 virtualenv. Can you fix this for
unstable?

I know Python 2.6 is no longer supported within Debian but I want to
run some tests with a locally-compiled Python 2.6 to ensure that my
code still works with that if needed.

Thanks,

I believe it's actually (3C2)*(2/3)^16 - (3C1)*(1/3)^16 ~= 0.46% (the
subtracted value is negligible).

P = (1/3)^16 = 2.3e-8 or 0.023%, which isn't quite as absurdly small
as you might think.

Yes. That's part of the transition that's not yet done.

[Python-modules-team] Bug#844233: python-passlib: FTBFS with probability of 0.22% due to non-deterministic testsuite

2016-11-13 Thread Chris Lamb
Source: python-passlib
Version: 1.6.5-4
Severity: serious
Tags: ftbfs
User: reproducible-bui...@lists.alioth.debian.org
Usertags: randomess
X-Debbugs-Cc: reproducible-bui...@lists.alioth.debian.org

Hi,

Whilst working on the Reproducible Builds effort [0], we noticed
that python-passlib's testsuite will non-determinstically FTBFS:

==
FAIL: test_getrandstr (passlib.tests.test_utils.MiscTest)
--
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/build/python-passlib-1.6.5/2nd/passlib/tests/test_utils.py", line 129,
in test_getrandstr
self.assertEqual(sorted(set(x)), [u('a'),u('b'),u('c')])
AssertionError: Lists differ: [u'a', u'b'] != [u'a', u'b', u'c']

Second list contains 1 additional elements.
First extra element 2:
u'c'

- [u'a', u'b']
+ [u'a', u'b', u'c']
?++

This is because of:

125 x = f(u('abc'), 16)
126 y = f(u('abc'), 16)
127 self.assertIsInstance(x, unicode)
128 self.assertNotEqual(x,y)
129 self.assertEqual(sorted(set(x)), [u('a'),u('b'),u('c')])

If the random string ``x`` doesn't contain a certain character, the
assertion will fail. By my quick calculation this will happen with a
probability of (2/3)^(16-1).

It will also FTBFS if it generates the exact same random string, but
that seems a little more unlikely.

[Python-modules-team] Bug#844225: please rebuild

2016-11-13 Thread VA

Package: python-pyqt5.qsci
Version: 2.9.3+dfsg-3

Since update of Qt to 5.7 in Debian, a basic program using Python
QScintilla segfaults:

from PyQt5.QtWidgets import *
from PyQt5.Qsci import *
app = QApplication([])
ed = QsciScintilla()
ed.show()
print(ed.text())
app.exec_()

Is this due to the qscintilla bindings not having been updated/rebuilt?

2016-11-13 Thread Carol | AU IT SOLUTIONS
Hello, I hope you are well.

My name is Carol Marshall and I work for a Search Marketing company in
Sydney, Australia.

I was doing some research on your industry and I landed on your website.
Thing is i had a look at some of the other businesses who are currently
ranked on Page 1 and I truly believe you have a better website and a better
brand.

Long story short, I have created an 18-Page WebsiteAudit which addresses
all of the technical and web errors on your website that is stopping you
from ranking on PAGE 1…

I am happy to send you this report forFREE.

All I want is the opportunity to call you and discuss THE WEBSITE AUDIT in
greater detail.

What do you think?

Kind Regards,
