Wrong regression test cases

2014-04-01 Thread Rainer Bielefeld

Hi,

from time to time there is a suspect that there are errors in test case
descriptions, currently I know:

"Issue 124523 - Testcase requires not existing feature "wildcards""

"Issue 124535 - Wrong Test description for hyperlinks in Writer TOC "

Is there any systematic review for the testcases?

How should we proceed if errors have been found?

CU

Rainer

Why still testlink 1.9.3 ?

2014-04-01 Thread Francisco Mancardi
hi
my name is Francisco Mnacardi, I'm the team leader and main developer of
test link.
I've seen that you are still using version 1.9.3, IMHO you will be more
happy using latest code from gitorious.

It would be good also for testlink if you can announce to the masses that
you use it

Re: Bugzilla, how to request confirmation/release-block?

2014-04-01 Thread Tal Daniel
Thank you Andrea, for bubbling this up.
I've tried to cope with this bug in the past, might return to it in the
future, too.

So, if I understand correctly, if none of the admins get into bugzilla and
search, or someone write DEV directly, no one will notice new issues?

I don't have admin rights in Bugzilla, but someone with admin rights
will likely pick up this thread and give you privileges.

+Question: who reviews bugs who are just reported? someone is notified
about them? (i.e. who reads issues@...)

I've now marked the bug as possible blocker. The dev list is
automatically notified. Any follow-ups should go there.

  Andrea.

Can't see this column, maybe due to permissions. Yes please, give me
permissions to do so.

OK.

You set a flag for release blocker (with value: "?", which means
requested). In the right column you should see:

Flags: None yet set (set flags)

If you cannot set the flag (due to permissions) ask here and we will
either give you permissions or handle it while you don't have
permissions (or, likely, we'll do both!).

Note: in this moment requested release blockers need to be really
blocking to be accepted. But don't worry too much. Just, consider that
release blockers can be denied due to the fact that at a certain point
we have to release, so the "bar" for a bug to be a blocker raises every day!

Regards,
  Andrea.

Bugzilla, how to request confirmation/release-block?

2014-04-01 Thread Tal Daniel
Hi, I've opened a bug about a year ago, and since then it hasn't been
confirmed.
How can I promote its confirmation, and even release-block flag?

E.g. https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=121193

Thanks,
Tal
