 Hi Edwin,

I check your Debian_130925.ods and bug opened by you in bugzilla , found
there are two fail testcase but no bug to match . Can you help to confirm
again

Fail – inactive URL is pasted instead of text, can not undo cut of hyperlink
Fail – Ctrl left click for multiple select not working

I update Debian_130925.ods , the text marked by red color means that there
are one bug to match failed testcase; the text marked by blue color means
no bug to match failed testcase

Hi Edwin,

we have several different "sites", and they all are important.

AOO needs tests with the latest Trunk-dev builds to recognize
regressions as soon as they appear, and so your Linux64 tests would show
important problems if they can be confirmed with a second build and / or
other users.

A completely different thing are the RC tests, here it is necessary to
use exactly the RC builds to find out whether they still contain bugs
too serious to leave them in the final versions for normal users. It
seems we do not have many Linux64 testers, so it would be great if you
could repeat the tests with a Linux64 RC3 from

Generally it would be great if some Linux64 users would try to reproduce
results from

with Linux64 Nightly Trunk builds AND Linux64 4.0.1 RC3 builds, so I
added some users I found in Bugzilla (who might not have subscribed this
mailing list).

Best regards

Rainer

Hi Edwin,

yes, that's wrong. If you test a nightly Trunk build (what might be
horribly broken) the test results say nothing concerning the quality of
the RC. So test results might be interesting, but not for 4.0.1 RC testing.

And if you did not test

with a 4.0.1-dev (RC3), but with 4.1.0-dev (as I see in the comments),
please correct the version selectors in those bug reports (please also
see my private mail!).

Alexandro,

Thanks for your quick response and report! A few questions here:

1. Are below problems the new problems on 4.0.1? Are they reproduced in
previous version, 4.0.0 or 3.4.1?
2. Could you please post the Bug ID for these problems either of the
existing ones or of new ones created in Bugzilla(
https://issues.apache.org/ooo/)?

Re: Update on Testing for Apache OpenOffice 4.0.1 (RCs) as of 09/24 - have testing gap on Linux

2013-09-24 Thread Yuzhen Fan
Drew,

No, we do not test Base, Drawing, Math in this phase for 4.0.1. I have seen
your test report of Base on RC2, which platforms are you testing with,
Windows(win 7 or win 8), Linux(Redhat, Ubuntu or Suse, 32bit or 64bit),
MacOS?

I should include your test result on Base in our testing update :-)

Regards,
Yu Zhen
