Re: OpenGL 4
I understand that Johannes needs to know if qxl virtual device implements some of the OpenGL API. Or maybe existing qxl drivers for guest OS implement OpenGL API. https://www.spice-space.org/download.html El 17/4/23 a les 19:18, Johannes Scheyerle ha escrit: yes I know that and I think of that. Bear in mind that on an M1 Windows will be running purely emulated (from x86 to arm) -- performance may not be good enough to meet your requirements, even if you get the graphics acceleration side sorted out. thanks -- PMM

Best Jo Many versions of qemu-system allow providing the virtual machine with emulated "qxl" accelerated graphics hardware to be executed on a "spice" client. I strongly suspect that this will provide the desired 3D capabilities needed to run the Guest with Windows OpenGL drivers for "qxl" "hardware". Unfortunately, The qemu 5.2.0 manual page did not provide meaningful details of this, blindly assuming that all readers know those things already. Hopefully later releases have corrected that.
