[Qgis-developer] Git Repository Naming cleanups

2013-09-15 Thread Tim Sutton
Hi all

I have been cleaning up names of our repositories to make them consistent -
here is how our repo list stands now:

QGIS-Django
QGIS-Plugin-Repo
QGIS Plugins
QGIS-Documentation
QGIS-Website
QGIS-Web-Client
QGIS-Training-Manual
QGIS-Android
QGIS-Promotion
QGIS-workshop
QGIS-Compilation-Guide
Quantum-GIS
osgeo-live-qgis-tutorials
redmine_qgis_hub

Some of the afore mentioned repos have already been renamed, if you are
using one on the affected repos, simply edit your .git/config file and
update the remote spelling.

As you can see the last 3 are inconsistently named. Can I go ahead and do:

Quantum-GIS -> QGIS
osgeo-live-qgis-tutorials -> OSGEO-Live-QGIS-Tutorials
redmine_qgis_hub -> QGIS-Redmine-Hub

Any objections?

Re: [Qgis-developer] how to distribute Processing modules?

2013-09-15 Thread Ricardo Filipe Soares Garcia da
Hi Victor

In this case I don't think it is useful if you add the models to the
default install because they are all meant use this plugin's GeoAlgorithms
to do some composite analysis.

For this reason I'd like to bundle them together with the plugin.

I guess I can post them in the plugin's page and let users download them as
needed.

In the future I'd like to make them available in this new platform for
sharing QGIS related stuff.

Sounds reasonable?

Best regards

2013-09-15 Thread Victor Olaya
+1 from me

Just to let you know, bulk import can be done also through Processing
now, and I added Giovanni suggestion of adding the "schema"option to
the corresponding algorithm

Also, the OpenGeo explorer that I am working on has a nice
functionality of allowing multiple files to be imported by dragging
and dropping from the QGIS browser onto a PostGIS DB. I plan to add
that to the DB manager as well (now if you dop several files it will
open one import dialog for each of them...)

Re: [Qgis-developer] how to distribute Processing modules?

2013-09-15 Thread Victor Olaya
Ricardo

There is a project going on now for creating a platform for sharing
resources. in QGIS. Models are clearly a good item to share in there.

I am lookng for example models to add to Processing so if you can send
them to me I can add them in the "[example models] category. They will
be useful for other people to study them and run them. I think this is
the best way of distributing them. If the number of example models is
high I might even classify them differently.

Thanks!
