[Qgis-developer] Identify tool on WFS layers: wrong feature ID?
Hi all, just found that identify tool reports wrong feature IDs for WFS layers. For example, if I look in raw server response feature has id = 4, but QGIS identify tool for the same feature show another id = 1. After looking in sources I found that WFS provider (maybe others too?) maintains mapping between real IDs and internal IDs, so identify tool show internal ID, while in all edit operations used real ID. Are there any reasons to not report real feature ID? -- Alexander Bruy ___ Qgis-developer mailing list Qgis-developer@lists.osgeo.org http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/qgis-developer
Re: [Qgis-developer] QGIS 2.6: .ui form window size
Hi, I still have not found the solution ... Do you think it's a bug QGIS or a mistake in my code? Re: [Qgis-developer] Attribute-table-to-CSV trouble
I found no related open ticket. Opened one now. See: https://hub.qgis.org/issues/12111 -Original Message- From: Paolo Cavallini [mailto:cavall...@faunalia.it] Sent: 30. januar 2015 10:43 To: Blumentrath, Stefan; qgis-developer@lists.osgeo.org Subject: Re: [Qgis-developer] Attribute-table-to-CSV trouble Il 30/01/2015 10:03, Blumentrath, Stefan ha scritto: Sounds good. Generally, it would be a significant improvement if the Export function in DB manager could allow other formats than shape. Here I think esp. of SQLite-ish formats for example, since shape is limited to 2GB and column names will probably have to be truncated and so on... exactly - probably good to open a ticket, if not already Regarding CSV-export however, I would expect that at least copy and paste and Save as is something users may frequently try (as it is probably also most natural to do so). So these functions should not fail easily or be dependent on data source (of course millions of records do not necessarily fit into memory in case of copy/paste), what do you think? copy-paste, as you noted, is fragile, and I would not particularly encourage its use. Save as... however should work. Is the OGR ID trouble a GDAL/OGR issue, or would it help if QGIS would provide the -preserve_fid option? AFAIK it's a GDAL issue - perhaps you could check if ogr2ogr works for you, and open the ticket where appropriate? (gdal or qgis) Do you want me to open ticket(s), also for the plugin issues never the less? BTW, I could not find the bug tracker for mmqgis, the links in the QGIS plugin homepage only lead to the plugin home page, which does not seem to have a bug tracker... This is a long standing problem. I'm gradually trying to convince new plugin authors to add a code repo and a bugtracker; for older plugins, we have to ask. Perhaps a direct email to the author could help. Re: [Qgis-developer] QGIS in Macedonian
It sounds good for the QGIS project... It's good time for QGIS. In Catalonia, I'm installing QGIS in many institutions and I'm doing several courses Go on! * http://www.psig.es* *Carlos López Quintanilla* www.psig.es carlos.lo...@psig.es +34 699.680.261 2015-02-01 11:26 GMT+01:00 Werner Macho werner.ma...@gmail.com: -BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE- Hash: SHA1 Hi devs and PSC, I just got this mail from our macedonian translator. If anyone wants to step into macedonia this would be the right time to make the officials there aware of the existence of QGIS. Probably any of the supporting companies will step in here an make an offer to macedonia? Just for your information! regards Werner - --- Hello I am writing you, this time for something that is not connected with translation but somehow it may be connected with QGIS. Here in Macedonia, I am working as a surveyor in private company but, i have contacts in the Agency for real estate cadastre and i heard that Agency is searching for new GIS software. They already have one small software but it's terrible, and it bring them a lot of problems and because of that they are now searching for new GIS software which will be used as official not just of that agency but of all contributors whose are working with agency on some way including the big number of geodetic companies. The number of people who will use it, is nearly 4000 for now. It can be opportunity to increase popularity of Qgis in the Balkan also because, soon cadastre agencies of few countries are starting new project together and may be it will Impose to the people who will work on that project. However, there is a lot of things connected with this, but i don't know if it's interesting for you as organisation. If it is somehow interesting for you, please notify me and i will write you more informations and some small conditions that should be met. Also, if there is someone who is appointed for this area , i would contact him and tell everything about this.
