Re: [Qgis-developer] Is there a QGIS 2.99.0 plugin repositoryr for Qt5.7 and Python3 Ubuntu 16.04 xenial 64-bit?

2016-10-24 Thread Denis Rouzaud
Hi,
Thanks for raising this. I don't think we need a special URL.

1. First all plugins should have maxVersion set to 2.98 by default.
2. Then plugins with metedata having maxVersion >= 3.0 or minVersion >=
3.0 would be listed.

Can someone take care of point 1?

Denis

It makes sense to me. Any reason not to close it immediately?
Also, I'd close commits for 2.16, and mark is as unmaintained. Keeping
2.14, 2.18, and master seems heavy enough for devs, and confusing enough
for users.
All the best.

Hi all,
from the lack of responses, and of tests created, it appears evident
that either the interest is not high, or the fruit is hanging too high.
I'd be in favour of sponsoring the effort, either directly through QGIS

the script? weird, I'm pretty sure I got it from you.

About the diff files with parameters differences (and new tools)
between different SAGA versions: I don't have anything locally. In the
recent past when I had more free time I created such files and made
the proper PRs, an example:

https://github.com/qgis/QGIS/commit/f8ea9d926872fd36ad06890a48308b5a8eea8078

anyway now I downloaded the list of most recent SAGA versions cmd
tools/parameters from here

https://sourceforge.net/p/saga-gis/wiki/SAGA%20Release%20Information/

and create such files, that I'm attaching here.

cheers

Also zonal stats: https://github.com/qgis/QGIS/pull/3662

dxf2shp was the lowest hanging fruit. But I would like to see the list
of installed c++ plugins culled considerably (and the remainder moved
to python plugins ideally!)

Note that the processing interpolation algorithm doesn't 100%
reproduce what's available through the plugin yet, so that's not
suitable for removing at this stage. Evis I don't think should be
removed until there's a suitable replacement. I'm not sure about the
oracle raster one and whether that's still a useful feature or not.

I have just tried (same platform, same qgis version) and can't
confirm. If in the output dialog you choose "tif" the gdal command is
properly change with -of Gtiff (and similarly for the other formats).
Check if have an old version of gdaltools in your plugin folder.

Hi,

The problem is already know, this parameter (in the io_gdal module,
the one to import raster layers) has changed name in recent SAGA
releases. This must be addressed also in SagaAlgorithm***.py

Regarding all other changes/additions that could have been made too
SAGA modules:
some time ago Victor (or AlexB I don't remember) provided a script
that that compares two different versions os SAGA (see example
attached). I have used it a few times in the past to change/create the
descriptions files when a new SAGA version was published.

Multiple projects and multiple map frames (within one project) are
pretty much independent topics - so my QEP does not change anything
related to multiple map canvases (which I believe more of a GUI issue
since there are already plugins like Dockable MirrorMap that enable

Nice. Glad this is moving forward. Will this facilitate an eventual (not part of
your proposal/work) multi-map-frame environment? Alvaro might have good
considerations to offer on that front.

Hi all

I should have time to work on the implementation during December...

Hopefully this will provide a good building block for the rewrite of
QGIS server for 3.0...

Any feedback to the QEP would be very appreciated!

Cheers
