, although unsuccessful, I would like to take the opportunity to thank the
QGIS Voting Membership and Sterring Committee for taking the time to read
through all proposal and cast votes. I recognize that having two 3d related
proposals made it difficult to support both at the same time with so many
other deserving projects also in the mix. Therefore, I do value the votes
in support of my proposal particularly. Thanks !

Apologies for the delay in my reply. The talk was accepted for FOSS4G 2017 
Boston, and Kurt / myself will be co-presenting.

 

The "State of QGIS" talk abstract is attached. I will be bringing this topic up 
with the community to gather contributor feedback on overall content and 
direction, since the talk should represent community viewpoints and cover 
topics the community thinks it should.

be posting to the dev list with requests for comments, opinions and suggestions

supporting my attendance to the event.

would definitely prefer someone from the QGIS dev community to help in this

Menke might be going along - you might want to touch base with him to hear if 
he is going - he isn't a developer but he is very up to speed with QGIS and the 
QGIS community activities. Hopefully anyone else on the dev list who is going 
will pipe up and pitch in if they can.
