Re: [QGIS-Developer] [Qgis-psc] 2.18.9 - big thanks to Jürgen for the quick release!

2017-05-26 Thread Syd Visser
yes it s pretty amazing how fast a new release can come out and we
really appreciate this.

but it does bring up one issue.

once you hit the update button in Ubuntu update and downloaded and
installed a new version of QGIS and then realized QGIS no longer
really worked no one in our office could figure out how to go back one
release so we could continue working.

could someone let us know how to easily do this in the future.

thanks

Syd

[QGIS-Developer] "Save as" creates artifacts on raster

2017-05-26 Thread Niccolò Marchi
Hi devs,
I noticed that saving a raster (10x10m, EPSG:32632) to another CRS (3003)
creates a gridded artifact with a “cell size” of 100x100m. Doing the same
operation using Warp command from the Processing toolbox, everything works
fine. Any idea? I’m working with 2.18.7 .
I found only Bug Report #15542 but not similar issues on this procedure.

All the best,

Niccolò

Re: [QGIS-Developer] [Qgis-user] A Couple of Plugin Ideas

2017-05-26 Thread C Hamilton
I would prefer that. I am not sure how to proceed and for the next two
weeks I will be working with QGIS, but after that I would like to discuss
this further. In the past I have used C/C++ quite extensively, but have not
for the past 5 years. I think I can pick it back up fairly easily. The
biggest hurdle for me is to know how to get a QGIS environment set up and
to make changes to the core QGIS. Mostly this is because I just have not
had the time to investigate what needs to be done. I would like working
with someone who already knows how to do this.

Thanks!!!

Re: [QGIS-Developer] A Couple of Plugin Ideas

2017-05-26 Thread C Hamilton
Yes I use Anita's TimeManager. What the time manager does is to visualize
across time. What I am proposing is to be able to define a path on the map
and to animate traveling across it. It will be even cooler once we get 3D.
This can be used to create an animation that can include zooming in and out
of an area and to travel along a predefined path.

[QGIS-Developer] Error: Select by expression not show fileds

2017-05-26 Thread Carlos López PSIG
Hi,
I found a possible bug. I'm using 2.18.8.

I can't see the fields in "Select by Expression"
Field and values " is empty for all layers (I tested shapefiles, gml and
geojson).

I tested in Linux Mint 17 and Windows 7 and 10

Is this a known bug?
