[QGIS-Developer] Save the date for the July 2024 Open Standards Code Sprint 

2024-05-07 Thread Joana Simoes via QGIS-Developer

*Good morning,*

*

The Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) is hosting a code sprint, from the
10th through the 12th of July. This code sprint will be open to all OGC
APIs and encodings and will have special tracks in topics such as "Data
Quality".

//

//

/A Code Sprint is a three day hybrid event, where dozens of
developers from around the world come together to code and share their
ideas regarding sharing geospatial information. Even if you are not
a developer, there are lots of ways to be involved in the code
sprint, without actually writing code; e.g.: testing, documentation,
issues.  As in previous code sprints, this sprint will include a mentor
stream targeted at newcomers, which includes an onboarding day with lots
of introductory tutorials (see here
,
examples of past tutorials)./

**

The sprint will run on an hybrid format, with the face to face component
taking place in Geovation , London.

You can find more information about the sprint, including a registration
link in the

code sprints website: https://developer.ogc.org/sprints/

Some sponsoring opportunities are still available, for those who wish to
contribute:

[QGIS-Developer] Support to OGC API Tiles in QGIS

2022-11-22 Thread Joana Simoes via QGIS-Developer

Hi All,

I was wondering if you think it would be a valuable feature, to add
support for the newly approved OGC API Tiles standard in QGIS [1].

This way, users would be able to add layers published with OGC API
Vector Tiles [2].

There is an upcoming code sprint covering OGC API Tiles next week [3],
so it could be a good opportunity for me, or anyone else who is
interested, to start working on this.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on this,

 All the Best,

   Joana
