Re: [QGIS-Developer] It's time to contribute to the Changelog for QGIS 3.20!

2021-06-17 Thread Charles Dixon-Paver
I have captured additional entries for the following PRs:

https://github.com/qgis/QGIS/pull/42326
https://github.com/qgis/QGIS/pull/42286
https://github.com/qgis/QGIS/pull/41724
https://github.com/qgis/QGIS/pull/43193
https://github.com/qgis/QGIS/pull/42588
https://github.com/qgis/QGIS/pull/42401
https://github.com/qgis/QGIS/pull/41208
https://github.com/qgis/QGIS/pull/42587
https://github.com/qgis/QGIS/pull/42289
https://github.com/qgis/QGIS/pull/43559

The platform does retain the links to the original pull request... But I
don't think they are pulled through into the feed. Perhaps this CSV output
is a feature request for the changelog platform.

The ChangelogHarvested label is also used to identify items which have been
added to the changelog. You can use "-label:ChangelogHarvested" to exclude
them from PR searches on GitHub.

Note that sometimes a single feature is extended with multiple PRs within a
single release cycle, in which case the changelog entries are combined
where reasonable, so you may not find an entry for every PR with the
Feature or ChangelogHarvested labels.

Re: [QGIS-Developer] It's time to contribute to the Changelog for QGIS 3.20!

2021-06-11 Thread Totò
For the future I would like to suggest to create a CSV file with the titles
of the new features and the link to the PR, this would facilitate the
verification of the new features within the changelog.

to search for features I used this filter:

https://github.com/qgis/QGIS/pulls?q=is%3Apr+is%3Aclosed+label%3Afeature+merged%3A2021-02-18T00%3A00%3A00Z..2021-06-11T00%3A00%3A00Z+

thank you so much for the great job

2021-06-11 Thread Charles Dixon-Paver
Thanks for catching this. These would have been merged without the
changelog label so I will add them. If anyone else notices any missing
features from the release please be sure to share a link to the PR.

2021-06-07 Thread uclaros
Hi Tim,
https://github.com/qgis/QGIS/pull/42250 could be added to the changelog, it
missed the changelog tags.

There's also a typo on the category 's/Digitising/Digitizing/'

Best regards,
Stefanos

Re: [QGIS-Developer] It's time to contribute to the Changelog for QGIS 3.20!

2021-06-07 Thread Jakob
Hello Tim et. al.

I think the changelog is pretty good explained and visualized. The use of
animation is a great help in some of the entries. Even though I use to live
in Odense, after reading the changelog a better name than QGIS 3.20 Odense
might be QGIS 3.20 Nyall Dawson.

;)

[QGIS-Developer] It's time to contribute to the Changelog for QGIS 3.20!

2021-06-05 Thread Tim Sutton
Hi All

The release of QGIS 3.20 is scheduled for 2021-06-18 12:00:00 UTC (just
under two weeks). Charles Dixon-Paver has been doing an awesome job pulling
in new features into the changelog. Thank you also to the developers who
have been helping to make sure their PR's are nicely documented when they
are harvested by the changelog app.

If you are a user looking to contribute, we would really appreciate your
help. Simply read through the changelog management page at:

https://changelog.qgis.org/en/qgis/version/3.20/

If you find anything that is poorly explained, submit a revision to that
entry either by contacting Charles or myself (char...@kartoza.com /
t...@kartoza.com) with your revised text / images, or enrolling on the
platform and asking us to give you edit access if you wish to directly make
edits yourself.

If you want more context on how the changelog process works, we have
detailed notes here:

https://github.com/qgis/QGIS/wiki/Changelog-Workflows

See especially the last section here if you want to just make 'drive by'
contributions:

https://github.com/qgis/QGIS/wiki/Changelog-Workflows#get-involved

Regards

Tim
