I as a user have a lot of trouble with SAGA every while end then, especially like you mentioned with models I built to run on Win and Linux Mint/Ubuntu. Even though I have an updated Linux Mint 17.1 = Ubuntu 14.04 with ubuntu-unstable, SAGA only works partially. Seems like most vector related function still work, but all raster related functions fail, so my models are working only under Windows now. There might be other reasons for that than only SAGA, but for the average Linux user, this is hard to solve. So any ideas how to make the integration of SAGA more stable would be much appreciated. True, I was confusing versions. The "normal" syntax does not work with 2.1.4. This is weird, because you need to indicate the algorithm to use...so without that 0 it shouldn't work. Another one of this annoying SAGA mysteries I will fix that call to gdal_io. Other modules, however, seems to accept the algorithm index/name correctly. I tried the export passing the algorithm name instead of 0, and it also fails Thanks for your help! BTW, did anyone find SAGA 2.1.4 to be extremely slow?. It takes a lot of time to launch SAGA before it starts doing the actual computing, there is a huge overhead. With several calls per Processing algorithm, the time it takes to run is rather long... 2015-01-20 11:55 GMT+01:00 Giovanni Manghi : >> No problem. Re: [Qgis-developer] Processing disappeared from QGIS master?
Paolo, Giovanni I don't see the calls to io_gdal in the error trace, so i think it's not being called. In case it is not shown in the text that is pasted, and it is calling it but failing, then the problem might be what Giovanni is mentioning Actually, for 2.1.4, the SAGA connector uses the same syntax as for 2.1.3, but there might be some changes and that might be causing the error. I am not having this problem in my Windows machine, but in Linux we have seen before that the io_gdal module changes it syntax depending on the available driver (something that is a really bad thing...but there's nothing we can do with that) 2015-01-20 11:44 GMT+01:00 Victor Olaya : > No problem. No problem. Actually, that "None" version shouldn't appear, i ahve added a small fix to improve that version detection The error you are getting seems to be caused by SAGA believing that a layer is already exported, so it is not calling the export routines before calling the algorithm itself. I had seen this before, and I have now added a fix for it. Re: [Qgis-developer] Processing disappeared from QGIS master?
If you are running linux, there should be no path to select, that's normal. It looks like it finds no saga in your system, maybe it is making a wrong call when trying to find out the installed version. I assume you have SAGA installed and in your PATH... 2015-01-19 17:25 GMT+01:00 Paolo Cavallini : > Il 19/01/2015 17:24, Victor Olaya ha scritto: >> Any error trace? > > No error, in the settings the saga provider is marked as "none", no path > is selectable, and no saga algs are visible in the box. > All the best. > > -- > Paolo Cavallini - www.faunalia.eu > QGIS & PostGIS courses: http://www.faunalia.eu/training.html ___ Qgis-developer mailing list Qgis-developer@lists.osgeo.org http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/qgis-developer

[Qgis-developer] Processing disappeared from QGIS master?
Hi all. On current master, apparently saga is no longer usable ("none") from Processing. Confirmed? Should I open a ticket?
