Can you share the specific blend settings or, better, create a simple example qgs file you can share? A day or so ago I added a warning message when pdf exporting a composer view with blend modes to prompt you to export as raster, did you get this warning when exporting? Well, I'm using 471dab1 revision from osgeo4w (probably Sunday night build). I had no message raised. I will update my version and make more exhaustive tests reports.
