As for hosting a codesprint in France next year (or later), it is clearly
doable. We could do it in Lyon again quite easily. Paris could be an option
but is expensive and not that convenient for such an event, even if well
connected.
We could probably easily organize something in Nantes as well, dynamic city
with good opensource commitment, 2h from Paris by train.
If interested in any of these places, just ask, and the OSGeo-fr team will
start to see if something great can be organized.

If for a future edition you need help with organizing a hackfest in Spain,
i will be happy to help.

Also, the french QGIS community seems to be rather active, so if anyone
from it wants to do something here, I will be ready to help as much as I
can. Just let me know about what i can do. I think both options (France,
Spain) would be very good as future hackfest locations.

Until that happens, let's enjoy Denmark ;-)

I'm agree about the quality of the copenhagen offer, but remember that we
(spain) loosed again the opportunity to host a hackfest due the fact that
none answered from Girona to the offer do the hackfest there!

Re: [Qgis-developer] Fwd: Hackfest/ developers meeting in Spring 2015

2014-06-19 Thread Martin Isenburg
I agree with Victor. We had a great time there and the facilities seemed
perfect for a hackfest (in a nature setting surrounded by forest with a
lake nearby).

http://rapidlasso.com/2014/05/23/first-ever-lidar-processing-model-in-qgis/

Great canteen. Potential for evening bonfires. Green fields provide ample
opportunities for frisbee tossing or some friendly soccer (my deepest
heart-felt condolences to our Spanish friends (-;).

I am confident Lene and her team will make a great host ... (-:

Cheers,
