Re: [Qgis-user] Feature labels using joined data

2016-09-19 Per discussione Nicolas Cadieux
Hi,

Is must block because the join file needs to be modified by the new label
positions. Like you say, I imagine, it's a read only connection but I am not
sure. I would try joining with a dbf file but you will probably have the same
results. You could join the files then save them but that would give you
multiple versions. Perhaps trying a database would solve the problem.

Perhaps the idea would be to have multiples x and y labels columns for
different projects or else to export the label column as .csv that you could
join later...

Good luck

[Qgis-user] Feature labels using joined data

2016-09-19 Per discussione martin (gmail)

HI,

I have a dataset of point features that I label with their name. I am
producing documents in a number of different formats using this data and
I need to be able to move the label positions.

To avoid having multiple label_x and label_y in the original dataset I
was hoping to join a different label datafile, containing a label_x and
label_y, to the dataset in each project.

Unfortunately when I use the "joined" locations I am not able to use the
"move label" feature to edit the label x and y that is stored in the
joined file. I have tried csv and shapefile formats for the datafile.
Should I be able to update the data in a joined file or is this a read
only connection?

Any suggestion on managing multiple label positions appreciated.

Thanks

Martin

[QGIS-it-user] visualizzazioni di text/label sul canvas

2016-09-19 Per discussione Giuliano Curti
ciao a tutti,

attributi del layer ed utilizzare il meccanismo di labelling standard;

visualizzazione della scritta;

grato, grazie, saluti,

Even if the users are aware of the fact that ubuntugis-unstable contains the
current releases, it can be hard to impossible to convince a GIS-ignorant

Thanks for the info, that is disappointing but at least I know I can stop

Nope, the two are incompatible. If possible, stick to dnd. There are

Re: [Qgis-user] lines normal to a curve at defined points

2016-09-19 Per discussione Neumann, Andreas
Hi Danilo,

Have you looked at "marker lines"? Markers are auto-rotated to be
perpendicular to a certain point along a line. They can be placed at
vertices or at regular interval (defined distance). The combination of a
simple marker (line symbol) and line offsets should do the trick.

Hope this helps.

grazie!!!

Re: [Qgis-user] Profile section digitising

2016-09-19 Per discussione Neumann, Andreas
Hi,

There is a nice profile tool in the plugin called "VoGIS-ProfilTool". It
is really flexible regarding your input data (new temporary line, line
from existing layers), vertex options and output options and it allows
to intersect with a surface layer (e.g. landcover, though this did not
work in my tests). It can handle multiple surfaces, but only creates
lines, no filled areas between the surfaces.

I suggest, if you consider writing a new tool, that you would have a
look at the "VoGIS-ProfilTool" to either get a head start and improve on
it.

Greetings,

Andreas

Osgeo funziona senza problemi.

Did you installed QGIS using OSGeo4w or standalone?

In the processing option, providers, make sure GRASS 7 path is pointing to
the correct folder. And disable GRASS (6).

I seen some installations where grass 7 was pointing to an old grass
