Ciao Gabriela,

saluti

Re: [QGIS-it-user] file .mxd in QGIS

Grazie mille!
Da quanto vedo nella documentazione si usa in ArcMap per poter produrre un
progetto che sia capito da QGIS :-(
Saluti e grazie,Gabriela

Ciao, bel problema ti trovi davanti.
Hai letto qui[0], occorre python 2.6

Re: [Qgis-user] NTV2 Grid Shits

2017-10-25 Per discussione stevejking
Tyler,
I think the following might work.

Pick up the NAD27toATS77 and ATS77toNAD83 here:
http://georepository.com/search/by-name/query/Ats77/transformation_page/1/#transformation

Add the two multiband grids together somehow (open gsb's as raster in qgis)
i.e. Band 1 longitude shift and band 2 latitude shift. The other two bands
can be zero. Save the new grid as a multi band geotif.

From a command prompt Navigate to gdal_translate located in QGIS 2.16\Bin\
or equivalent
Then type:
gdal_translate -of NTV2

This will create new_ntv2_grid.gsb which will be NAD27toNAD83 ( a proxy for
wgs84 as far as proj4 is concerned).

Just remember to put the gsb on your from string, and your to string
+towgs84=0,0,0,0,0,0,0

[Qgis-user] Geodesic Measure Tool

2017-10-25 Per discussione C Hamilton
All,

The "Shape Tools" plugin (http://plugins.qgis.org/plugins/shapetools/)
contains a Geodesic Measure Tool that produces results that are the same as
Google Earth. In addition to distance it displays the bearing or heading
between each pair of points. It also rubber bands the geodesic path being
measured. I am hoping that eventually what is in the Geodesic Measure Tool
will be coded into the QGIS measure tool.

The rational for the Geodesic Measure Tool was that I needed the heading
angle, but additionally I really did not like the results I was seeing from
the QGIS measure tool. It is very confusing on how to set the right
ellipsoid to get the proper results. The first challenge is how you even
set the ellipsoid and when you find it, there is a "WGS 84" ellipsoid and a
"WGS84" ellipsoid and the latter one I have no idea what it is producing.
Its measurements are not correct. Personally I think the QGIS measure tool
should have a pull down to be able to select the ellipsoid and a check box
to set it to the most accurate ellipsoid. I spent a lot of time trying to
find where to set the ellipsoid. The Configuration button does not take you
there.

The Geodesic Measure Tool is based on geographiclib which produces the most
accurate results - better than Vincinty and which I hope geographiclib will
eventually be used in QGIS. I consider the Geodesic Measure Tool to be the
gold standard for earth measurements without taking elevation into
consideration.

I have seen a number of posts about measurements in QGIS that has led to a
fair amount of confusion. Somehow the measuring tool need to be made
clearer as to what it is doing. I'm not exactly sure how to do that. Having
too much flexibility can cause issues and in part is why the Geodesic
Measure Tool was produced. It is simple to use for Google Earth like
results.

Ciao a tutti,
mancano 48 ore circa al termine del sondaggio (27/10/2017 ore 12:00)

In questa lista siamo iscritti quasi 300 persone, SOLO 55 hanno espresso la
loro opinione partecipando al sondaggio.

Re: [Qgis-user] NTV2 Grid Shits

Tyler,
NAD27 and ATS77 don't seem to share the same ellipsoid.
spatialreference.org lists ATS77 as
+proj=sterea +lat_0=47.25 +lon_0=-63 +k=0.12 +x_0=70 +y_0=40
+a=6378135 +b=6356750.304921594 +units=m +no_defs

It's missing a +towgs84= or +nadgrids= BUT Notice the ellipsoid a and b
parameters do not match the NAD27 clarke66 ellipsoid. So a nadgrids shift
file for NAD27, will not work for ATS77.
