[Qgis-user] relief map of germany

2011-05-29 Thread Christof Kluß
Hi,

do you know a source for shapfiles with relief informations of Germany?

http://www.gadm.org/country is a good source for administrative areas,
maybe there is a similar data source for relief maps?

On the side http://www2.jpl.nasa.gov/srtm/dataprod.htm Germany is
missing. There are raw data on
http://dds.cr.usgs.gov/srtm/version2_1/SRTM3/Eurasia/ and
http://www.viewfinderpanoramas.org/dem3.html but do you know a prepared
file for Germany?

Greetings
Christof

 Dear Maxime and all,

I have changed to use R.2.11.0 as you advised, now I could link ManageR.
Thanks very much

Re: [Qgis-user] grass plug in makes Qgis crash

2011-05-29 Thread Paul Lens

Hello,

I've had a similar kind of problem.

In my case, QGIS was trying to load a grass layer and didn't find it
because it had been deleted manually.

After restoration of this layer from a backup, QGis was able to load the
file without crashing.

Hope this will help!

Paul

Dear list,

crashes. It seems to be something like an access error when Qgis tries to
access the Grass database and that makes Qgis crash. Now I need the Grass
Plugin for my phd...

What am I doing wrong? It seems to be a computer specific problem or
conflict, but what kind of?

I'm using Ubuntu 10.10 and the software from the unstable GIS repository
(Qgis 1.6, Grass 641..)

No, on vector->geometry tools I do not have the voice "voronoi polygons"
I'm on OSX 10.6.7, Q Gis 1.6.0 fTools 0.5.10.
Why?

At any rate, I'm interested also on the previous question:
it's possible to run a python script for Qgis on console and if the answer is
not,
how can I run the script?

2011-05-29 Thread Vincenzo Antedoro
Salve a tutta la lista,
ho appena scaricato uno script python per QGis che serve a disegnare i poligoni
di varonoi.
Mi chiedo, come è possibile usarlo in QGis?
Tramite console?
Come?

Vi ringrazio per la pazienza.

And on the laptops, you have the same version of all software? (No
old version of gdal or some such?)
Next step, I'd take this over to the qgis-developer maillist...

I,d suggest two things to understand what's happening:
First try starting QGIS from a terminal, and watch for errors when
you start the GRASS plugin and open a raster.
Second, can you install GRASS on its own, and set it up it to use
the same GISDBASE directory as QGIS, then try to load the rasters in
GRASS to see what happens?
