Re: [Qgis-user] Mapbooks with Easyprint
Good job. Works really well. This is something I have wanted to do for ages but just never got the chance to code it up. One question though, having never used Easy Print before, how does one make a custom template? Should be asked on qgis-user@lists.osgeo.org No GDAL\OGR does not directly read LAS you need liblas http://liblas.org/utilities/las2ogr.html Alternately GRASS does contain functionality to deal with lidar http://grass.osgeo.org/wiki/LIDAR#Import_LAS_as_vector_points Though it looks like you'll need to use Liblas to convert the data to text 1st for GRASS. I'm looking forward to it ! Thanks Luca 2011/6/14 Ziegler Stefan Hi I started adding some mapbook functionality: i) Mapbook by grid: You have to create the regular grid first. Paper format, layout, scale etc. values are taken from standard easyprint tab ("simplemap"). You can also choose some overlap percentage. After creating the grid layer you can export the maps. There are some additional parameters like adding adjacent tile indicator to the map or creating an overview map. ii) Mapbook by feature: This will zoom to the extent of every feature of a specific layer. You can use the layers attributes for setting the title, subtitle, scale and rotation. Scale and rotation will be ignored for polygon and linestring layers. regards Stefan Mit freundlichem Gruss Stefan Ziegler Leiter amtliche Vermessung Kanton Solothurn Bau- und Justizdepartement Amt für Geoinformation Rötistrasse 4 4501 Solothurn Telefon 032 627 75 96 Telefax 032 627 75 98 stefan.zieg...@bd.so.ch http://www.so.ch ___ Qgis-user mailing list Qgis-user@lists.osgeo.org http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/qgis-user___ Qgis-user mailing list Qgis-user@lists.osgeo.org http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/qgis-user

[Qgis-user] Raster tools conversion losing georeference
Hi, When I use the Raster tools > Translate (Convert format) to convert a georeferenced SRTM elevation raster (in .hgt format) to a tif format, the georefrenceing is lost (ie the output image has only raster coordinates, not lat-longs. Even when I specifically enable Target SRS = EPSG:4326. Can anybody else confirm this, is it a bug, is there a workaround...? If needed I can provide the .hgt, but it is a 2,9 Mb file...
