Re: [Qgis-user] Building QGIS + GRASS 7
Unless I am mistaken, this was written before the release of grass 7. SO = 6.0.0 means that 5.x is not supported BTW, if you go to the grass 7 page you can read This is the development version (SVN HEAD) Not releases yet but the code is already usable So don't expect other products to support it before the first public release. It might take more time after first release anyway... cheers Etienne On Thu, Oct 18, 2012 at 11:04 AM, Vladimir Naumov sendmeof...@gmail.com wrote: It's very strange since the official documentation of QGIS (INSTALL text file) states that it could be build with GRASS = 6.0.0 (libraries compiled with exceptions support on Linux 32bit). --- Regards, Vladimir. 2012/10/18 Ves Nikos vesni...@gmail.com: Hey Vladimir, A year ago I tried to compile qgis with grass7. [Qgis-user] Intersect results in empty geometry
I (and another GIS.se user) have been trying to intersect lines and polygons in 1.8.0-2 (OSX 10.7.4) as well as the 2.0-dev without success, getting empty geometries http://gis.stackexchange.com/questions/36934/is-there-a-way-to-split-a-polygon-layer-with-a-line-layer (but no errors listed); this worked fine in 1.7 http://gis.stackexchange.com/questions/25357/divide-a-complex-shape-file-into-a-grid . *I looked at a recent related thread http://osgeo-org.1560.n6.nabble.com/Trouble-with-overlay-in-1-8-0-td4998524.html but it seems to relate to an issue with points. *There is also a possibly related bug listed as 'closed' http://hub.qgis.org/issues/5861 four months ago. *The empty geometry problem happens with both the built-in Vector menu (fTools) as well as with SEXTANTE. [Qgis-user] vector gpx layer is not always refreshing
I am using qis to edit tracks of a GPS file. Usually I want to delete extraneous tracks from the layer. I import the layer as a vector gpx file. If I import the gpx file and it has more than one track (trk /trk) then the indiviual points will not show up when I open the attribute table. I just get 2 elements which are the 2 tracks composed each of multiple segments. If I put all the trackpoints in one track in one file, then I can see the points in the attribute table. To edit the gpx file, I have been opening it in a text editor and making changes. Then I will see how the display is affected. Sometimes I can update it by turning on and off the vector layer. I read on here that ctlr-r will refresh the screen. Both do not always work. This last time I had to exit qgis and restart it to see my updates.
