[Qgis-user] Qgis GRASS plugin
Hi all, yesterday I upgraded GRASS to 6.4.3RC1 (from 6.4.2) and the GRASS plugin in QGis (both 1.8 and Master) disappared (also in plugin manager). Downgrading to 6.4.2 the plugin is again working and reappared as icon and in Plugin manager. I checked the qgis.bat and I found that there is some wrong path (when I had GRASS 6.4.3RC1 installed, and QGis starting gave a not found path message): /call %OSGEO4W_ROOT%\apps\grass\grass-6.4.2\etc\env.bat// //and // //%OSGEO4W_ROOT%\apps\grass\grass-6.4.2\lib// / I changed the qgis.bat, but it was not working. I have Windows 7 (I've not checked in Linux Mint, as 6.4.3 is not yet compiled). Any idea? ciao, roberto ___ Qgis-user mailing list Qgis-user@lists.osgeo.org http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/qgis-user

I installed psycopg2, no change. If I start Qgis through the terminal, I get these messages on start up, but no dialog when I try to save a custom CRS. Janet Could you try to move or delete the qgis.db file now that you have ownership of the directory ? Having an empty file does prevent to add custom CRS without any error message, I just tried. If QGIS does not find the file qgis.db, it will build a new one, but if it does find an invalid file, it will silently fail. BTW, do you know how you obtained an empty file ? Re: [Qgis-user] ubuntu 12.10 issues
I had a similar issue on my upgrade to 12.04 and my issues were due to newer packages (not qgis) being pulled from either upstream ubuntu or 3rd party repos. After carefully making sure ubuntu proposed and backports were off and disabling all 3rd party I forced a downgrade to stock ubuntu packages. Once I did that turning qgis repos back on worked. Re: [Qgis-user] ubuntu 12.10 issues
Alex, Thanks, turning the backports off worked for me. I now have v1.7.4 installed. Interestingly, no packages were either downloaded or changed by doing this BUT it worked. Obviously the package updater was being told to look in the wrong spot. [Qgis-user] 1.7.4 Wroclaw Vs 1.8.0 Lisboa on OSX 10.6.8
Dear All, I have just upgraded from to 1.7.4 Wroclaw to 1.8.0 Lisboa on a Mac running OSX 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard) and am finding the Lisboa version very unstable (eg crashes/quits unexpectedly when using georeferencer, when saving new shape files, when adding new vector layers, when adding new rastor layers). Are these problems with this version or my installation? Am I better reverting to 1.7.4? If so do I have to uninstall all the 1.8.0 components (GDAL, CSL) before reinstalling 1.7.4? Very frustrating.
