2012-12-11 Thread image
Hello,

Thank for your replies. Like Mr. Jost, i wonder why there is a gdal-dev
package, version 1.8pre-6 (via Osgeo4w-setup) it would be possible to
upgrade it to the last version called 1.10.0?
Personally, it would be very valuable could this possibly avoid a
compilation of two software.

Thank you to throw light for me.

Regards.

[Qgis-user] Sextante - SAGA folder location problem

2012-12-11 Thread Michał Bełcik
Hello everyone

I am using Windows 7 and I have recently changed the location of the SAGA
folder. I have shown in the Sextante options the location of the new
folder, but every time I want to perform in Sextante any operation
concerning the SAGA functions, a message appears, similar to this one:
Could not load layer:
C:/Users/Work/.qgis//sextante/tempdata\sagaconvexhull2aae1d235d1b48c6bfefd36c711738dd.shp

Check the SEXTANTE log to look for errors in algorithm execution.

Is it the problem with location? Suggested solutions, maybe? I would not
rather have to reinstall SAGA in a new folder, though.

[Qgis-user] Qgis-Webclient and startExtent with EPSG900913-Bounds

2012-12-11 Thread Thomas Baumann
Hello,

I try to set the startExtent for my QGIS-Webclient-Map (a site with
900913-Global-settings) but encounter Problems with the
EPSG900913-coordinates:

If I try to set the startExtend with

startExtent=-25913538.399811,-12795102.116832,31935055.700111,12564869.375981

i get following message:
Start-parameter startExtent needs to be in OpenLayers.Bounds format:
'left,bottom,right,top'

Here the structure of my Request:

https://myserver/qgiswebclient/site/qgiswebclient.html?map=/path_to_my_maps/mapname.qgsformat=image/pngvisibleLayers=layer1,layer2startExtent=-25913538.399811,-12795102.116832,31935055.700111,12564869.375981

AFAIK the problem that existed in earlier versions with negativ values for
the start/maxExtent has been solved but
could it be that the dots of this float-values are still a problem?

Is there a workaround known for this?

best wishes,

Thomas

Hi Ajay,

What is the error message?

You can also run qgis from the command line for more diagnosis info

That message is not the problem with the buffer, it is another
problem. You have a model that includes a SAGA algorithm (it is an
example model), and you probably do not have SAGA installed so it
complains and it writes it to the log.

You problem description should be in the SEXTANTE log, but in the

find why your buffer it is not working

Thanks for the response Victor. I didn't think I needed SAGA to be installed
to run GRASS functions from the Sextante tool box. In fact I'm pretty sure
that until a few days ago GRASS functions did run from the tool box without
SAGA installed. Anyway, I've installed SAGA, enabled it in the Sextante tool

I don't have anything in the log tagged Grass console output. I've just

No, you do not need SAGA to run GRASS. You just need it to load the
model that uses SAGA (it is included as an example in SEXTANTE, but
you can ignore it)

If you go to the SEXTANTE configuration dialog, you will see a GRASS
entry, and there is an option to enable console output logging. Enable
it, run your GRASS command again...and hopefully you will have
information about what is happening

Victor

I am not able to run any GRASS tools from Sextante since the last update.

I leave here the logs of r.shaded.relief algorithm:

[Qgis-user] Compilation of Qgis 1.8 with gdal svn (Windows7_64bits)

2012-12-11 Thread image
Hello,

I need to use qgis 1.8 with the last gdal svn 1.10.0 on my *Windows 7 *64
bits station.I know that i'm obliged to compile in a 1st time gdal svn in
a 2nd time qgis targetting the gdal svn version. Up to now, i succeed in
compiling gdal svn thanks to TortoiseSvn Visual Studio. Now, i 'm trying
to compile Qgis1.8 thanks to this following help install_api :
 http://www.qgis.org/api/INSTALL.html#toc13

I 'm following the 4th part of this webpage called Building on windows. I
have chosen to use Visual C++ Express edition rather than MinGW. Up to now,
i installed :*Cmake/Flex/Bison/SVN/GIT/OSGeo4W. For information, i have not
installed the Microsoft Windows Server® 2003 R2 Platform SDK (Core
SDK/Build environment(x86 32 bits).
Then, thanks to OSGeo4W(advanced_installation), i installed
:*expat/fcgi/gdal/grass/gsl-devel/iconv/pyqt4/qt4-devel/qwt5-devel-qt4/sip/spatialite/libspatialindex-devel/python-qscintilla.
For information, i chosen Gdal_dev 1.8-Pre6 even if i want the last
version of gdal dev called 1.10.0, unselectable via this OSGeo4W_setup.
Then, i pasted the file unistd.h from GnuWin32\include toward VC\include
directory of my Visual C++ installation.

Now, i'm at the step 4.1.3 called 'Setting up the Visual Studio project with
CMake'. I do not understand the instructions and how to create the batch
file.

1/ Do you think the method that I opted is adapted to my goal (*use qgis
with the last version of gdal svn that i have already compiled*) ? This
method is really the easiest and most viable?

2/Could you give me details in order i succeed in creating the batch file.

2/How to ensure that the building take into account the gdal svn that i
have already compiled?

In advance, thank you to throw light for me.
With kind regards.

Re: [Qgis-user] How to display WMS legend (getLegendGraphic-request) in QGIS

2012-12-11 Thread Astrid Emde
Hello Diego,

thanks a lot for the enhancement of the plugin. I updated the plugin and
it works perfect with the https-WMS.

Best regards

Astrid Emde

 Hello Astrid
if you can update the plugin from the same repository, it should now
work also with WMS exposed via https (the one you reported it works
 for me)

 Hello Diego,

we tested the new CSI WMS Legend plugin a bit more and noticed
that it does not support https-Requests for WMS.

Is support for https-requests not implemented yet?

Here is a demo WMS with an https-address.

 Hello Diego,

thanks for the information. I tried the plugin and it is what I
 am looking for.

It shows the legend of the layer that has the focus in the
 layertree. Nice.

 Thanks for your help.

Recently we build a little QGIS plugin to display WMS legends.
It work with QGIS 1.8, not yet with the nightly build.

We are going to release this plugin on the official repo.

At the moment, if you want test it, you can download it from
 this repo:
 http://osgis.csi.it/qgis_plugin/csi_plugin_test.htm(remember to set
Show all plugin, even those marked as experimental in the python

Thanks in advance for every feed back

We could probably replace the standard raster legend item

 Hello Jürgen,

 thanks for your reply.

The Solution to use the getlegendgraphcis response if it
 exists sounds

good to me. Maybe it could be displayed in a separate frame
 in QGIS.

 I am using QGIS 1.8-0
