[Qgis-user] Quantum GIS for Windows 8?

2013-04-21 Thread Sheila Ward
Hi-

I am trying to download Q GIS for use with Windows 8, but I cannot seem to
download the complete file, and my computer is telling me that it does not
support this program.

Any advise?

Thanks,

Sheila

[Qgis-user] FreeBSD 9.1, QGIS doesn't build

2013-04-21 Thread Pierre Stévens
Hi, when trying to install QGIS with Grass Plugins from Ports on FreeBSD
9.1, I get the following :

Building CXX object
src/plugins/grass/CMakeFiles/grassplugin.dir/qtermwidget/kpty.cpp.o

I've tried the solution proposed by Rainer Hurling by adding

#define HAVE_UTEMPTER in kpty.cpp

But it didn't work.

Anyone an idea ?

Re: [Qgis-user] Sextante Modeler Error “global name os is not defined”

The latest version is the one that comes with QGIS 1.9, not the latest
stable. Make sure that you have unistalled your previous SEXTANTE, to
avoid conflict between both of them. It seems that it is using the
older version...

[Qgis-user] Sextante Modeler Error “global name os is not defined”

2013-04-21 Thread Jonas Sjögren
Hi,
I´m using Sextante Modeler and have made a model that reclassifies raster
values and produces an area. When running the model I get an error, "global
name 'os' is not defined" (see screenshot attached). Exactly the same error
is described in QGIS Issue Tracking #7587 (http://hub.qgis.org/issues/7587)
where the solution is to use QGIS 1.9 and the lastest Sextante version. So
I installed 1.9.0 Master QGIS and use Sextante 1.0.9. However, I still face
the same error. Does anyone have a hint?

FWIW, I think that #336 is really good, but it was probably added to late to be
really noticed.

A couple of people said they like the other variations of it, by I think the
one which has the triangle on the Q in a different colour is no good because it
isn't clear enough that it is a Q. Even in #336 I guess it might not be clear
enough, but the triangle does seem cool compared to a regular stroke on the Q...

Of course, I'm still not convinced it is better than the proposal here:
http://hub.qgis.org/issues/6688
;)
