Re: [Qgis-user] QGIS Harlem Shake

2013-10-12 Thread KLGan
I use this command in terminal to update Ubuntu.

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-x-swat/x-updates

After restart, I installed QGIS. Guess what, same problem still there,
Harlem shake!...

I'm forced to use QGIS in Windows now :-(

What else can be done to stop the shaking.

Thanks

The QGIS versions are usually the same on OSGeo4W 32 and 64 bit. But the
problem might be 32 or 64 bit specific or tied to a dependencies - and those
can be different on OSGeo4W 32 and 64 bit. So it really depends on the
problem you have.

Dear listers,

I am trying to load data from a website
(http://prior.dmu.dk) into my QGIS project. I've tried
with WMS but it wasn't successful. Is there any way to do it??

Thank you very much

[Qgis-user] The better package for study a potential problem.

2013-10-12 Thread aperi2007

Hi,

I'm having some trouble using some datasets.
Before was seem was only a problem with spatialite (we use preferrably
spatialite rather than shapefile)
BUt meanwhile I was working on tests, I see the problems seem to be also
on shapefiles.

This was a big surprise for me, and decide to do better tests.
Infact I guess perhaps I'm wrongly something.
So I like to remove all and re-install to avoid any problem.

But before to do this, I need an information:

What is actually what is the right platform where test.

Actually I'm using qgis-dev from osgeo4w 32 bit (update it this morning)

But perhaps the right and more update version is in the osgeo4w 64 bit ?

Thx,

Andrea Peri

Re: [Qgis-user] Load data from website

2013-10-12 Thread Ricardo Filipe Soares Garcia da
Hi Jorge

You can only load data if the website distributes them.

I cannot understand Danish but it looks like the website you are using only
offers visualisation of the data. If that is so then you cannot load it
into QGIS. If the website does provide the data, you should look for a
section of the site that contains information on any web services
information (like WMS, WFS or WCS). It should list the available URLs for
those services that you can then configure and use in QGIS.

Best regards

Hi

There is a new sensor observation plugin / provider on the way. Sources
are on github:

https://github.com/mhugent/Quantum-GIS/tree/sensor_observation_service

At the moment, it is still in experimental stage.
