[Qgis-user] How remove th title in a getlegendgraphics image

2013-10-13 Thread Andrea Peri
Hi,

On qgis-server

I need to obtain an image from a getlegendgraphics without the title with a
unique symbol renderer.

As example:

Actually the qgis-server using the unique symbol renderer will produce this
kind of image:

 TITLE
--

--

Instead I like to have this other

--

--

Is this possible ?

Thx,

Re: [Qgis-user] The better package for study a potential problem.

2013-10-13 Thread Andrea Peri
ok, thx.

So I try to test on 32 bit .

Meanwhile I see that the problem seem related to some geometries dont'
correctly defined.
But again there is no really clear what is happening.

I guess perhaps there is also some null geometries, but I don't know how to
understand in qgis is a geometry is null.

I try to test it using the ftolls validity test, but it don't end its work.
No evident error, but it seem in an infinite loop.

This is strange because the shapefile I test has formerly only 234 records
(geometry point).
(the shapefile has only 234 records point type)

So I need necessary to test them in postgis or spatialite to understand
what are happening.

What is actually what is the right platform where test.

Actually I'm using qgis-dev from osgeo4w 32 bit (update it this morning)
But
perhaps the right and more update version is in the osgeo4w 64 bit ?

The QGIS versions are usually the same on OSGeo4W 32 and 64 bit. But the
problem might be 32 or 64 bit specific or tied to a dependencies - and
those
can be different on OSGeo4W 32 and 64 bit. So it really depends on the
problem you have.

Re: [Qgis-user] QGIS Harlem Shake

2013-10-13 Thread Johan Nilsson
Did you try to log out Unity 3D and in to Unity 2D? I had some strange
issues with 3D, that get solved by running 2D a while and then log in to 3D
again...Othervise 2D may word. You do not need to reboot, just log out and
in again.

2013/10/13 KLGan 1kl...@gmail.com

I use this command in terminal to update Ubuntu.

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-x-swat/x-updates

After restart, I installed QGIS. Guess what, same problem still there,
Harlem shake!...

I'm forced to use QGIS in Windows now :-(

What else can be done to stop the shaking.

Thanks

 Hi Johan Alex,

 Thanks for reply.

Here is the hardware spec and software:-
 Ubuntu 13.04
 Memory 2.0Gib
 Processor: Genuine Intel® CPU T2080 @ 1.73GHz × 2
 Graphics: Intel® 945GM x86/MMX/SSE2
 OS Type: 32-bit

¿Might this be a window manager issue? I remember problems with QGIS
and window management in ubuntu (unity) before, like QGIS going to
 another virtual desktop on startup.

I actually think in this case it's the Intel graphics drivers. I've
talked with some other who have had similar issues but only with the
splash screen (for QGIS and other graphics heavy programs).

So I think the best thing to pursue is checking Ubuntu bug reports for
Intel graphics driver fixes for the 945GM. There may actually be grub
based flags to help.

Some ideas:

http://askubuntu.com/questions/101028/unity-3d-not-supported-intel-945gm-graphics-card
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/543265

Changing window manager might work, or just logging in with Unity 2D
might even work.

I know on my 12.04 machine I have to run kernel 3.5 or newer for my
Intel HD4000 to work right.

Thanks,
Alex

[Qgis-user] Presentation Piperunner / QGIS mobility

2013-10-13 Thread Diethard Jansen
Hello,

At the hackfest in Brighton I presented a custom application named
Piperunner, created by Realworld Systems. Piperunner is based on QGIS
running on an Androïd tablet with a new interface using QML.

I promised to create a short video of the presentation and here it is..
http://youtu.be/wMEFCws60TE

Remember that the presented application is an example, build on the new
QGIS-Mobility framework. Other customized applications can be build with a
different set of functionality.

The idea is to keep things simple for users using QGIS on mobile devices!
Unfortunately to create such a customized application is still hard.

Regards,
Diethard Jansen

There is a plugin called Freehand Editing, I guess you might make use of it.

[Qgis-user] Finding 'lost' plugins?

2013-10-13 Thread Johanna . Botman

My installation of QGIS 2.0 has
'http://plugins.qgis.org/plugins/plugins.xml' as the location setting for
the plug-in repository, but not all the plugins I want are visible to me. I
am missing some basic ones like GRASS, fTools, Gdal Tools and Sextante.

I'm on Windows XP.

Where should that location setting be pointing? Or why can't I see the
plugins that I'm looking for?
