 Just checking.

We use QGIS 2.2 64 bit on Windows 7 systems and it seems fine, but you
should check with your projects and plugins if it is OK for you :-)

Re: [Qgis-user] 2.2 Windows 64-bit standalone installer, all OK?

2014-03-18 Thread Mark de Weerd
For me, it did not turn out that well. I have problems working with GRASS
now, since it still uses the environmental variables of last installation.
Reinstalling, cleaning all files on my computer and cleaning my registry
did not help in my case. I think reinstalling my whole computer might be
the best idea, gives a clean new start. I asked a question about that last
Friday, does anybody have a solution, or should i go to the dev user list?

So, if using GRASS, make sure to delete EVERY last file/registry of Qgis
1.8/2.0 of your computer.

I've spoken too quickly.

The main problem we encountered in 2.2 are:
 - WMS loading is MUCH slower than 2.0 (I've wrote a post in this mailing
list)
 - loading QGIS 2.2 application is slower than 2.0

[Qgis-user] Installed 2.2 - Cannot use GRASS, SAGA, OTB tools

2014-03-18 Thread Chrest, David
I uninstalled QGIS 2.0.1 and just installed 2.2 using the Windows
standalone installer 64 bit. I now am unable to use any of the 157 GRASS
tools.

I get the following messages in a Missing dependency window that pops up
when I try to use a GRASS tool:

Missing dependency. This algorithm cannot be run :-(

This algorithm requires GRASS to be run. Unfortunately, it seems that
GRASS is not installed in your system, or it is not correctly configured
to be used from QGIS.

http://docs.qgis.org/2.0/html/en/docs/user_manual/processing/3rdParty.h
tml to know more about how to install and configure GRASS to be used
with QGIS.

So I click the Click here link and just gives me the User Guide home
page, which does not help much.

The same goes for all the SAGA tools (243), and OTB tools (76).

This is a huge loss. Do these not get installed with the Windows
standalone installer?

Any help in a fix would be greatly appreciated.

They usually do. Can you try again with the 32bit standalone version,
using an installation folder without blanks like C:\QGISValmiera\ ?
