Re: [Qgis-user] (1) Unable resize the main GUI window in the vertical direction (2) Labels missing

2014-04-30 Thread Andreas Neumann
Hi,

I have never heard that the QGIS main window cannot be resized
vertically. Maybe an issue or setting in your operating system?
Sometimes graphic card settings control the Windows in Windows and have
some weird side effects.

As to the labels missing. You will have to describe your problem in
more details or we cannot help. As an example - is polygon
simplification turned on? Or on-the-fly reprojection? Any issues with
min/max scales or rules?

Best would be if you share your project and some sample data
demonstrating the issue.

2014-04-30 Thread Bob and Deb
This has happened to me after installing a plugin that docks a widget and
makes the main window larger. If you try to resize at the top of the
window, it might jump down then back up when you release the mouse.

It is due to saving a file while a property box is open (in edit mode?)
It is a bug that causes the file saves only partially. You will see that the

I solve it by restoring the previous version.

[Qgis-user] Processing toolbox will not load

2014-04-30 Thread Rollason, Edward
Hi all,

A colleague has just upgraded to QGIS 2.2 using the OSGeo4W installer with the
most up to date install packages. However, when she opens QGIS she gets an
error message saying that the Processing Toolbox cannot be opened. It won't

2014-04-30 Thread Alejandro Gomez
Greetings.

I get this error when trying to use openlayers plugin and some others
like RT Mapserver Export

Ha ocurrido un error mientras se ejecutaba el código de Python:

This happened after I upgraded from Slackware 14.0 to 14.1, I
recompiled Qgis and its dependencies again just in case but still
gives me the same error

I appreciate any help you can provide

Thank you.

Re: [Qgis-user] auto update listed categories in a legend

2014-04-30 Thread Alexandre Neto
Hello,

I can confirm this problem. Maybe we should create a bug report?

To solve this I generally use a workaround.

Selected the desired Layer\Groupclick the Sum symbol (the one used to show
the number of features for each class). This will update the classes. After
that you can click it again to remove the feature counting.

Best Regards,

Alexandre Neto

 Hi all,
If i have a layer styled using categories based on a given field in that
layer (its a database layer), as I add new entries to the database which
 may
result in more 'categories' in that layer, is there a way for the legend to
automatically update. Eg. the layer is styled using field Owner. After
the initial classification is done on this layer, additional 'Owner's are
added (and therefore new categories) causing the layer style to not be up
 to
 date (missing categories).
 any ideas?
