Re: [Qgis-user] (1) Unable resize the main GUI window in the vertical direction (2) Labels missing
Hi, I have never heard that the QGIS main window cannot be resized vertically. Maybe an issue or setting in your operating system? Sometimes graphic card settings control the Windows in Windows and have some weird side effects. As to the labels missing. You will have to describe your problem in more details or we cannot help. As an example - is polygon simplification turned on? Or on-the-fly reprojection? Any issues with min/max scales or rules? Best would be if you share your project and some sample data demonstrating the issue. Re: [Qgis-user] (1) Unable resize the main GUI window in the vertical direction (2) Labels missing
This has happened to me after installing a plugin that docks a widget and makes the main window larger. If you try to resize at the top of the window, it might jump down then back up when you release the mouse. I have this problem often. It is due to saving a file while a property box is open (in edit mode?) It is a bug that causes the file saves only partially. [Qgis-user] Processing toolbox will not load
Hi all, A colleague has just upgraded to QGIS 2.2 using the OSGeo4W installer with the most up to date install packages. However, when she opens QGIS she gets an error message saying that the Processing Toolbox cannot be opened. It won't reinstall from the plugin manager either and simply says that it's broken. She's running a 64bit Windows 7 Machine. I have a similar setup and have it installed no problems. The error message is: Couldn't load plugin 'processing' from ['C:/OSGEO4~1/apps/qgis/./python/plugins\processing', 'C:/OSGEO4~1/apps/qgis/./python', 'C:/Users/grayds/.qgis2/python', 'C:/Users/grayds/.qgis2/python/plugins', 'C:/OSGEO4~1/apps/qgis/./python/plugins', 'C:\Program Files (x86)\ArcGIS\bin', 'C:\OSGEO4~1\bin\python27.zip', 'C:\OSGEO4~1\apps\Python27\DLLs', 'C:\OSGEO4~1\apps\Python27\lib', 'C:\OSGEO4~1\apps\Python27\lib\plat-win', 'C:\OSGEO4~1\apps\Python27\lib\lib-tk', 'C:\OSGEO4~1\bin', 'C:\OSGEO4~1\apps\Python27', 'C:\OSGEO4~1\apps\Python27\lib\site-packages', 'C:\OSGEO4~1\apps\Python27\lib\site-packages\PIL', 'C:\OSGEO4~1\apps\Python27\lib\site-packages\win32', 'C:\OSGEO4~1\apps\Python27\lib\site-packages\win32\lib', 'C:\OSGEO4~1\apps\Python27\lib\site-packages\Pythonwin', 'C:\OSGEO4~1\apps\Python27\lib\site-packages\Shapely-1.2.18-py2.7-win-amd64.egg', 'C:\OSGEO4~1\apps\Python27\lib\site-packages\six-1.3.0-py2.7.egg', 'C:\OSGEO4~1\apps\Python27\lib\site-packages\wx-2.8-msw-unicode', 'C:\OSGEO4~1\apps\Python27\lib\site-packages\xlrd-0.9.2-py2.7.egg', 'C:\OSGEO4~1\apps\Python27\lib\site-packages\xlwt-0.7.5-py2.7.egg', 'C:\OSGEO4~1\apps\qgis\python\plugins\fTools\tools'] Traceback (most recent call last): File C:/OSGEO4~1/apps/qgis/./python\qgis\utils.py, line 182, in loadPlugin __import__(packageName) File C:/OSGEO4~1/apps/qgis/./python\qgis\utils.py, line 453, in _import mod = _builtin_import(name, globals, locals, fromlist, level) File C:/Users/grayds/.qgis2/python/plugins\processing\__init__.py, line 29, in from processing.tools.general import * File C:/OSGEO4~1/apps/qgis/./python\qgis\utils.py, line 453, in _import mod = _builtin_import(name, globals, locals, fromlist, level) File C:/Users/grayds/.qgis2/python/plugins\processing\tools\general.py, line 29, in from processing.core.Processing import Processing File C:/OSGEO4~1/apps/qgis/./python\qgis\utils.py, line 453, in _import mod = _builtin_import(name, globals, locals, fromlist, level) File C:/OSGEO4~1/apps/qgis/./python/plugins\processing\core\Processing.py, line 45, in from processing.modeler.ModelerAlgorithmProvider import \ File C:/OSGEO4~1/apps/qgis/./python\qgis\utils.py, line 453, in _import mod = _builtin_import(name, globals, locals, fromlist, level) File C:/OSGEO4~1/apps/qgis/./python/plugins\processing\modeler\ModelerAlgorithmProvider.py, line 39, in from processing.modeler.EditModelAction import EditModelAction File C:/OSGEO4~1/apps/qgis/./python\qgis\utils.py, line 453, in _import mod = _builtin_import(name, globals, locals, fromlist, level) File C:/OSGEO4~1/apps/qgis/./python/plugins\processing\modeler\EditModelAction.py, line 30, in from processing.modeler.ModelerDialog import ModelerDialog File C:/OSGEO4~1/apps/qgis/./python\qgis\utils.py, line 453, in _import mod = _builtin_import(name, globals, locals, fromlist, level) File C:/OSGEO4~1/apps/qgis/./python/plugins\processing\modeler\ModelerDialog.py, line 35, in from processing.gui.ParametersDialog import ParametersDialog File C:/OSGEO4~1/apps/qgis/./python\qgis\utils.py, line 453, in _import mod = _builtin_import(name, globals, locals, fromlist, level) File C:/Users/grayds/.qgis2/python/plugins\processing\gui\ParametersDialog.py, line 29, in from processing.gui.ParametersPanel import ParametersPanel File C:/OSGEO4~1/apps/qgis/./python\qgis\utils.py, line 453, in _import mod = _builtin_import(name, globals, locals, fromlist, level) File C:/Users/grayds/.qgis2/python/plugins\processing\gui\ParametersPanel.py, line 65, in from processing.parameters.ParameterMultipleExternalInput import ParameterMultipleExternalInput File C:/OSGEO4~1/apps/qgis/./python\qgis\utils.py, line 453, in _import mod = _builtin_import(name, globals, locals, fromlist, level) ImportError: No module named ParameterMultipleExternalInput Python version: 2.7.5 (default, May 15 2013, 22:44:16) [MSC v.1500 64 bit (AMD64)] QGIS version: 2.2.0-Valmiera Valmiera, c3a2817 Python path: ['C:/OSGEO4~1/apps/qgis/./python/plugins\\processing', 'C:/OSGEO4~1/apps/qgis/./python', u'C:/Users/grayds/.qgis2/python', u'C:/Users/grayds/.qgis2/python/plugins', 'C:/OSGEO4~1/apps/qgis/./python/plugins', 'C:\\Program Files (x86)\\ArcGIS\\binfile://\\ArcGIS\\bin', 'C:\\OSGEO4~1\\bin\\python27.zip', 'C:\\OSGEO4~1\\apps\\Python27\\DLLs', 'C:\\OSGEO4~1\\apps\\Python27\\lib', 'C:\\OSGEO4~1\\apps\\Python27\\lib\\plat-win', 'C:\\OSGEO4~1\\apps\\Python27\\lib\\lib-tk',

Re: [Qgis-user] auto update listed categories in a legend
Hello, I can confirm this problem. Maybe we should create a bug report? To solve this I generally use a workaround. Selected the desired Layer\Groupclick the Sum symbol (the one used to show the number of features for each class). This will update the classes. After that you can click it again to remove the feature counting. Eg. the layer is styled using field Owner. After the initial classification is done on this layer, additional 'Owner's are added (and therefore new categories) causing the layer style to not be up to date (missing categories). any ideas?
