Re: [Qgis-user] Installing in Fedora 20

2014-11-12 Thread Matthias Kuhn
Hi

As of today, QGIS 2.6 for Fedora 19 and Fedora 20 is avaliable through
the repository listed on the download page. Users who already have the
repository configured on their machine will get an upgraded version
whenever they next upgrade their software.

This version is not exactly the same as on other distros. It also
includes some fixes that are considered for a 2.6.1 and solves some
critical crashes.

Regards,
Matthias

 Dear Julian!

I am the Fedora maintainer of QGIS. I tried to build it for F22, but it
failed on the build system for some obscure reason. However, we will not
ship 2.6 in F20, just like we didn't ship 2.4. There was some
incompatibility with project files, if memory serves me right. You can
rebuild the packages easily with mock, once the SRPMs are available.

 Actually,
 https://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org//work/tasks/309/8010309/qgis-2.6.0-1.fc22.src.rpm

may work for you. Please refer to
 https://zabbix.org/wiki/Docs/howto/rebuild_rpms for an easy guide.

[Qgis-user] spatial filter for value relation editing wigdet

2014-11-12 Thread Paulius Litvinas
Hello,

I want to as if is there a way to use geometry properties of both tables in
value relation widget filter? I mean to use selected object's geometry and
value related objects geometry in value relation widget filter.

I have water supply network (lines) and water supply network manholes
(points). For value relation I want to filter and in selection combobox show
only those manholes who are on watter line.

I tried many ways but looks like there is no way to get selected line's
$geometry value in value relation widget filter.

Maybe someone has any ideas or hints?

Sincerely,

Paulius

[Qgis-user] Create layer isotropic cost

2014-11-12 Thread Andrés Ocaña Carretón
Hi!

Thanks for your reply Lluis.
I used the GRASS command r.cost commenting, but also gives me error. It also
includes a start point and a finish and I only need one start point. I explain
what I need to do, to see if I can also help.
I created a layer fricion, in which the cells have temporal value. Intend to
make a layer of cost in that the cost in time taken to pass through each cell
is determined. It starts from a point (the archaeological site) and no end, the
extension would be the entire layer of friction. Subsequently, the resulting
layer is reclassified to determine territories around the site.

This in gvSIG with Sexante is done easily, but if it is assumed that Sexante
included in the QGIS version 2.2 with which I work, I do not see it anywhere.

I would like to perform with QGIS to only work with a program, so would
appreciate if someone can tell me how.
Best Regards
Andres Ocaña

Hi Ammar,
I was into the same problem some weeks ago, although with another tool,

advice is to try another tool for the calculation, i e SAGA or GRASS. You can

Re: [Qgis-user] zooming to several layers

Hi Jake,
I remember encountering this a long time ago and am fairly sure I reported it
or there was already a ticket. I’ve just re-tested and can confirm the
behaviour hasn’t been fixed in 2.6 either. :(

Unfortunately I can’t seem to find it again (I don’t have access to my account
any more so can’t simply look at my old ticket list; and google is failing me).
Might be worth taking a look yourself, and if you can’t find it, just report it
again (maybe I’m mistaken about it being reported).

I just upgraded to 2.6 from 2.4 and I found that the paths in Processing

 (C:\Program Files\QGISBR~1\apps\grass\grass-6.4.3).

I tried deleting my .qgis folder and reinstalling, but that didn't help. I
reset the paths manually in Processing Options and that did the trick, but I
was wondering if there was a way to avoid going through that process.

Re: [Qgis-user] Raster postGIS problema visualizar en QGIS

2014-11-12 Thread Juan Miguel Requena
Hello Alexandre, sorry.

I have used the postGIS command 'raster2pgsql' to import a geotiff file
into a postgres data base. The process was successfully finished. Both
columns 'rid' and 'rast' were successfully created but when I connect QGIS
2.0 to the data base and load the table, the software is unable to
recognize the data type and the geometry type, so that I can not visualize
the file and the attribute table has not the rast column.

Thank you in advance for your help

Juanmi

 Juanmi.

Re: [Qgis-user] Raster postGIS problema visualizar en QGIS

2014-11-12 Thread Michael Treglia
Hi Juan,

To display a PostGIS Raster in QGIS, I think you need to use the Database
Manager plugin (DB Manager). If you have it installed/activated, you
would access it from the Database tab in the menu bar at top. (I'm on
QGIS 2.6 and 2.4, but I'd imagine its the same for 2.0).

Is that what you're using to open the PostGIS Raster? Or were you trying to
just use the normal Add PostGIS layer method?

If that's not it, try to give more details of the steps youre taking to
access the PostGIS layer in QGIS.

Hope that helps,
Mike
