Re: [Qgis-user] [QGIS-user] Prompt for projection when importing raster - QGIS 2.6

2014-11-26 Thread Brett Adams
Nicolas,

Tried setting "use project CRS" when CRS is not specified. However I’m
guessing there is a difference between unrecognised and not set. So this
didn’t help.

The TIF files are georeferenced. They load into Mapinfo with the correct
projection so I’m confident the information is there.

I’ll need to read up on the processing plugin, its not something I’ve ever used.

I thought there was an option such that all imported raster data had to be
defined on import?

Hi,
In your default CSR options, set "use project CRS" when CRS is not specified.
The CSR may not be included in the .tif files even if it is georeferenced. You
can probably use the processing plugin to batch that.

Not exactly an answer, but if this is a mosaic of side by side images, you
should just create a Virtual Raster Table (VRT), then you only have
1 file to load and can ensure the proj info is correct. To make a VRT use
the Raster menu -> Miscellaneous.

Now to try and answer the original question:
Settings->Options->CRS "Prompt for CRS" might work, however not
recognized vs no projection are different.

Thanks,
Alex

Alex,
Unfortunately the images are all cover the same area, so the VRT option
didn't work.

I've tried playing with the settings under;
Settings->Options->CRS
but these aren't doing it for me. As you say, not recognized vs no
projection could be different.

Re: [Qgis-user] Labels with 'text'

2014-11-26 Thread Goyo
Removing decimals in the label formatting only works if the label is
actually a number, which is not anymore if you add the string "Acres".
So you need to explicitly apply some function on the field value,
something like

toint(acres) || '  Acres'

might do the trick.

Hi Pedro

Sorry for the late answer. I will answer the issue on github too.

You are right, you should normally be able to edit your view in Lizmap too.
I doubt this is a user problem, as Lizmap read the datasource in QGIS for
each edition layer and so use the same user.

I will have a look at the error reported in github issue. Could you report
there [1] version of QGIS do you use as desktop and server ?

You can start by Removing registry keys before hand and see if that helps. That
will reset Qgis to its default state.
You could just do a fresh install removing (or backing up) everything from the

[Qgis-user] Crash of Grass and other plug-ins

Hi!

I got curious the other day about QGIS 2.6 and
installed it on my desktop. I had 2.2 already
installed sinc before. Everything went fine
except that the plug-ins stopped working, at

Re: [Qgis-user] Re : unable to open the QGIS Tab

2014-11-26 Thread Ramon Andiñach
Some ideas.

1. qgis.bat.tmpl becomes qgis.bat as part of the install process. Now that you
have it, does QGIS start if you run qgis.bat?
(QGIS needs to run from the batch file, which set up some variables. If you run
the .exe directly you get exactly the error that you did)

2. That means that for some reason the installer isn't finishing properly.
Do you have administrator privileges on that computer?
Did the installer download properly?
If you copy the installer from one of the computers where QGIS does work, does
that install correctly?

Yes, the user to access the Postgresql is the same in QGIS and Lizmap.

2014-11-26 Thread Pedro Venâncio
I do not know Lizmap, but I refer to the PostgreSQL user that Lizmap are
using to access the database (not the Lizmap user). This user is the same
that you are using in QGIS to access the database? This is because
PostgreSQL user must have permissions to run the triggers.

I was searching for something like that at the user permissions in Lizmap
and can't find it.

Do you know what exact permissions should I enable/disable that ?

thanks,

I'm using the Lizmap user 'admin'.
I didn't check but I imagine that all the permissions are in a "yes mode"

Now you talk about it I will check.

Hi,
There are many ways to install QGIS on Windows (standalone or Osceola4w) and
according to the choice u made, hints won't really be the same. reason why
Nicolas is asking you which install you did.
Nevertheless, go to your install directory (C:/Chugiak/... or C:/osgeo4w/...)
And search a qgis.bat file in a bin folder. Double-click on this file.
If it works, just add it as shortcut and remove the previous one.

Sorry,

If you install 2.4, your old QGIS 1.8 shortcuts are not always removed. You
can delete them. To open QGIS, go to start - osgeo4w - qgis2.4. If you can't
find any shortcuts in your menu, try reinstalling QGIS. What install are you
using?

Is this what you are looking for?

Hi,
Unlike most file formats, a .tab file is actually 4 files with 4 different
extensions (see below). They must all be copied at the same place in the
computer (same directory) if you want to open the .tab.

Make sure you have all 4 files. If all you have is the .tab, nothing will
work. Could this be the problem?

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/MapInfo_TAB_format

"So the basic file set for viewing data and its graphic representation in
vector form within MapInfo Professional requires a minimum of four files,
normally the *.TAB, *.MAP, *.DAT and *.ID. If there is only textual information
with no graphic objects, then a minimum of two files is needed: *.TAB and
*.DAT."

This must be the problem, the lizmap user must have trigger permission over

Hi Pedro,

The database user that you are using in QGIS is the same that you are using
in Lizmap? Or has the same privileges?

Re: [Qgis-user] Lizmap - can't insert&update data in PostGis Views

2014-11-26 Thread Pedro
Thanks Alexandre and Sergio for yours insights.

My postgis views were built in way that is possible to make updates, inserts
and deletes (through triggers) at the original tables.
Thats why I said that I make the same actions on the original project at
QGIS and it works fine.

The problem is that in Lizmap I can't make the same actions that I do at
QGIS with the postgis views. (it's a big problem for my project)

thanks,
Pedro

install “openLayers plugin. When installed, it will appear under the “web” tab.
Choose your layer from there.

Folks,

I’m want to bring Google maps, specifically satellite imagery, into QGIS 2.6.

I’ve been trying to do this using the “Google Maps Engine Connector” plug in.
Is this the best way?

Went to google, got the OAuth 2.0 code, plugged in my Client ID and Client
Secret. It then prompts for the google log in. From there I get the error
shown below.

Any ideas where I’m going wrong? Is there an easier way to bring in the
imagery?

We used to be able to bring in Bing imagery also. Can that be done in 2.6?

Thanks

Re: [Qgis-user] POint to polygon

2014-11-26 Thread Joris Hintjens
I found a workaround:
export the layer to a csv with geocoordinates (through mmqgis plugin)
edited the csv so that the IDs are in the desired order
import the cvs as new layer and have this polygonized with the Points2one
plugin.
quite a hassle, but it works.

thanks

[Qgis-user] Re : unable to open the QGIS Tab

2014-11-26 Thread Junior
Hi,
There are many ways to install QGIS on Windows (standalone or Osceola4w) and
according to the choice u made, hints won't really be the same.

Hi

I think you are not getting my exact problem, I mean to say, after installing
the QGIS, I found two
icon over my laptop desktop.

1.Quantum GIS Browser (1.8.0)
2.
Quantum GIS Desktop (1.8.0)

When I am double click over these icon nothing is happening, normally on other
laptop one blank page
open.

I know 4 .tab file is required to open the map in one location.

If there is only textual information
with no graphic objects, then a minimum of two files is needed: *.TAB and
*.DAT."

Hi,

maybe your tab-file is corrupted? Does your other tab-files work properly? As
workaround you could use Universal Translator in MapInfo and convert MapInfo
Tab to Esri Shape (for example). Try opening this in QGIS.

Hope it helps!
