[Qgis-user] Can not set Shortcuts which include a Cmd key

2014-12-20 Thread Garth Fletcher

I'm running QGIS 2.6.0-Brighton under Mac OS X 10.9.5 on a
Mac Mini (late 2009) 2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 4 GB RAM.

Settings > Configure Shortcuts… will not let me set a shortcut
which includes a Cmd key.

When I click on Change, which changes to Input, it displays
Ctrl- when the Cmd key is held
Alt- when the Option key is held
Meta- when the Ctrl key is held.

The standard Keyboard Viewer shows the correct keys - Cmd, Opt(Alt) & Ctrl

Seems like an issue in the keyboard interpretation...

Hi,
Be careful with the "Snapping Options..." (Menu Settings) , perhaps you
have "Avoid intersection" in one layer.

Best regards,

Re: [Qgis-user] GRASS Newbie: empty results layers

2014-12-20 Thread Nicolas Cadieux
I am not GRASS guru but I will do anything for a beer in Brussels
My experience with grass tells me you need to be careful about the GRASS region
and I see this...
GRASS_INFO_MESSAGE(14043,1): Default region was updated to the new projection,
but if you have multiple mapsets `g.region -d` should be run in each to update
the region from the default
GRASS_INFO_END(14043,1)
Not sure what it is but I would make sure the projections match.
I also see this : GRASS_INFO_WARNING(14046,61): 2 areas represent more
(overlapping) features, because polygons overlap in input layer(s). Such areas
are linked to more than 1 row in attribute table. The number of features for
those areas is stored as category in layer 2
And stuff like : GRASS_INFO_ERROR(14052,1): Unable to open vector map on level
2. Try to rebuild vector topology by v.build.
GRASS_INFO_END(14052,1)
Could this be all linked to projections and grass regions Not sure...
I would also just try to run it directly in Grass... Making sure the region and
projections are all the same.  Like I say... Anything for that beer!!!
:)

[Qgis-user] Problem calculating routes

2014-12-20 Thread Jesús
Good morning. I'm calculating routes in QGIS 2.6 and everything works fine
except the result of Length and Time. I get the results in this format:
4.22066e-06km and 8.44131e-08h instead of the usual like 4.76km or 0.02h.
I'm using RoadGraph plugin.

Any idea on how to fix it?

Thanks

Jesus

Re: [Qgis-user] poligonal entity copied from a layer to another appears in the table, not in the view

2014-12-20 Thread Alessio Degioannini

Hi Nicolas,
Try copying the content of the second file to an empty file to see
what happens. If that works, try copying the content of the first
file in that new file and see what happens.

Nothing Same issue: new record ok, no new entity in view.

Could it be a projection problem? Look to see if both files are in
the same projection. I usually use cut and paste between two file
with the same CRS.

Every layer is in the same projection.
Every layer is polygonal.

Weird a lot!
Thank you,
Alessio

Hi,
I've just copied an entity from a poligonal layer to another.
No geometry or topology error in the source layer, no geo/top
errror in
the target layer before pasting the new entity.
After pasting: in the target layer table appears the espected new
record, in the view: nothing. No reply to zoom to selected command.
Check geometry freezes. Check topology ok.
Help me, please.
Thanks in advance.
