[Qgis-user] Point to absolute X,Y
Hello How do I move a waypoint to/create a way point at a known coordinate (X,Y)? (QGIS 2.8) Thanks Malin ___ Qgis-user mailing list Qgis-user@lists.osgeo.org http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/qgis-user
Re: [Qgis-user] Point to absolute X,Y
Hi, I do not know of a way to move a point to a certain coordinate. For creation, there are several options: Activate the Advanced Digitizing Panel (Right-click into the the menu bar). When activating the Add Feature Button for your point layer, the panel becomes active and you see a x and y-field. Tick the locks behind them and enter the coordinates, then click into the canvas and the point should be at the desired location. You need at least QGIS 2.8 for that, for older versions this is a separate plug-in. See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QsjmLa16obs for some explanations. For more points, use import as csv-file with Add Delimited Text Layer. Hi, There is a bug filled on that issue. Doing this update, the model doesn't work anymore, cause GRASS stopped working in the toolbox. When I do a fresh install without updating Processing, I get an error when I try loading my model (which I unfortunately saved with the new Processing version). Ok, I could create that model again with the non-updated Processing version, so the GRASS function I need is available, but I also rely on the new OGR Dissolve Polygons function introduced with the new Processing version, cause I need to sum up an attribute while dissolving, and there is no alternative function at hand. Anyone an idea what to do? Seems I'm caught in kind of a time/version hole. Re: [Qgis-user] QGIS set the feature label background color the same as the feature style color
In the Label - Background - Fill Color, you can use the 'Data Defined override' to enter an expression for the color based on a field See this for more details http://gis.stackexchange.com/questions/104706/how-to-create-a-gradient-color-expression-in-data-defined-properties If you don't want to use the ramps and set individual color values for the background, you can use an expression like CASE WHEN field = 1 THEN '0,0,0,255' WHEN field = 2 THEN '100,100,100,255' END -Ujaval On Tue, Jul 21, 2015 at 10:55 AM, Leahy, Thomas A. tle...@bechtel.com wrote: Hello, I am trying to set the feature label background color the same as the feature style color. [Qgis-user] map frame questions
dear all i am working on a map border, i would like to obtain a result similar to this one: http://www.giroparchi.it/it/cartadeisentieri/ only, i cannot find in the map composer the possibility to: - add an outer black border 7-10 mm away from the actual map frame - represent UTM coordinate values in thousands meters (ie 587 instead of 587000) - represent geographic coordinates without seconds (ie 44°15' instead of 44°15'0) is there a way to do it ? ___ Qgis-user mailing list Qgis-user@lists.osgeo.org http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/qgis-user

Hello Malin, For that pourpose you can use the following plugin: https://plugins.qgis.org/plugins/numericalVertexEdit/ Hope it helps.
