[Qgis-user] value map widget sorting

Is there a way I can stop QGIS from sorting the entries in a value map
widget?  A lot of my fields have values where there is a natural/expected
order which is not alphabetical, but QGIS always sorts the entries
alphabetically.  I have been working around this by adding numbers to the
beginning of the description but it is less clean/user friendly and kind of
annoying.

Hi João Gaspar,

thank you very much. I have QGIS as the only application using GPS. And as I 
described installing new software or drivers is a problem for me. That’s why am 
asking if anyone has experience with external GPS.

Hi Eggerer,
do you have other application using the GPS module on the tablet?
By default, in windows you are allow to use one port for application, so if you 
have two applications open that use GPS, only one of them will use the port. 
You need to install software to virtualize the GPS port. E.g (Localizer (need 
to pay), GpsGate (Freeware ou middleware not sure)
In my case, this happens with the equipment of my company, If i want to use the 
QGIS GPS information panel, i need to turn off the camera (have geotagged 
system and connect directly to gps and turn off the GPS for QGIS).

As a workaround, you use a "fake" raster layer with the same color ramp to
be able to add to the legend. Or create a legend as SVG in Inkscape or
something.

Just made a heat map yesterday but when I added the layer to the legend it
didn't show any symbols or color ramps for the heat map features. How do
you legend a heat layer in 2.8?
