[Qgis-user] Tutoring request (resent)
Hi, Apologies if this is an inappropriate post; guidance accepted. I have been asked to help a self described 'elderly' farming couple come to grips with qgis, as I have some computer knowledge. However I have next to no qgis knowledge and feel I would be little use. They have told me the online help only gets them so far... Would anyone from around the Victoria Australia 3737 postcode ( or beyond if you feel it could be managed) be willing to handhold these folk through till they are comfortable with those parts of the application they will need most? They have some data from a migration from E-Farmer and an initial foray or two into qgis. Hoping someone could point us to a suitable solution. Re: [Qgis-user] QGIS Server Process Crash
Hi, I'm afraid the information you sent are not very useful to do any debugging. AFAIK most of the server development work takes place on Linux (or Mac), if you could reproduce the crash on Linux (or Mac) and file a bug report with all information to reproduce it, your chances to have somebody look at it would probably increase. Sorry if this is not of great help. [Qgis-user] opening GRASS folders in QGIS - path issue
Dear List, I am running Mac OS 10.10.5 Yosemite and QGIS 2.18.2 Las Palmas. I am new to QGIS and I want to be able to open some of my GRASS files in QGIS because QGIS supports SpatiaLite database. After installing the GRASS plugin, I open Plugins>GRASS> GRASS Options where QGIS expects me to define the path to GRASS installation folder (?). The default location in this dialogue box (/Users/Shared/unix/grass-qgis-mtlion/grass-7.0.4) does not work for me because I keep GRASS application (hence the install folder) in Applications (/Applications/GRASS/GRASS-7.0.app). I defined this path however I keep getting the error message below: GRASS init error: GRASS was not found in "/Applications/GRASS/GRASS-7.0.app/ " I would appreciate any suggestions! Hi Alex, this is a typical Python unicode issue. Which affects people using non western character sets... (and probably will not show up when installed on english/western computers). So please: - sent us either a screendump of the full error - or try to copy the list of files shown there as that will reveal which python file exactly is misbehaving. [Qgis-user] RGB Composite, bug or not?
Hi the last time I used RGB composite (for Landsat images) was with Brighton 2.6.1 and it worked. Now with QGIS from 2.8 to 2.18 (I tried all versions!!) I get a grayscale image. However if I use the Semi-Automatic Classification Plugin I get a color image (with 2.18.2). Will somebody be so kind to test RGB composite with version >=2.8 and see the results and let me know. If you have the same problem then I would like to report a bug. Maybe there is a bug in my installation!
