You are probably trying to install from the qgis.org/ubuntugis repository without having added the ubuntugis ppa. Either install the ubuntu packages from qgis.org/debian, that don't need dependencies outside of ubuntu or add the ubuntugis ppa to install from qgis.org/ubuntugis (ie. Once upon a time, few years ago I gave a try on a GPS bluetooth app using an Android cellphone.I was using Linux and I recall that I had to configure the gpsd deamon.After bluetooth connection it was just a matter to configure the connection in GPS Toos and all worked without a glitch. [Qgis-user] Label Settings
Hello; In the Label Settings under Rendering there is a slider labeled Low Weight- High Weight under Obstacles and a Check Box Discourage Labels from Covering Features. I don't want the labels to cover certain features on other layers but nothing seems to change when I move the slider from Low to High and I was wondering what exactly does it mean. Does it mean the Label Priority is High thus it will cover features or is it the Priority of "Not Covering Features". The tool tip doesn't say. If I want the Label to avoid features do I move it to high or low? Dear all on the Qgis-dev list, we are discussing the options of replacing all "Add ..." buttons (Add vector, Add raster, Add WMS, etc.) by one single "Add layer" button.
