media/html/file.htm

{$pdf}

Saluti

Re: [Qgis-user] Wrong result with Saga Raster calculator

2017-06-01 Thread Eugenio Trumpy
Hi Pedro,

I did the same for 5 pixels in the test raster I shared with you yesterday.

The different seems to be a little bit greater.

See the attached sheet.

I don't know if the version of saga, 2.3.1 the mine vs 2.3.2 the yours could
generate this error,

or if the problem is in qgis process model.

Hi Eugenio,

I've created a sample processing model (attached), that works ok, except a
small error in the result (decimals).

For instance:

Raster ID Pixel value

Z_top_res a 1202,03510276

t_top_res b 53,6123428345

topoc1 -182,584899902

SAGA Result 1 c 15,1783676147

SAGA Result 2 d 31,9437332153 Diff
Expected Result 1
15,1783679504 0,00335741
Expected Result 2
31,974087 0,0303540069

Formula
1 ifelse(c1>0,-(0.0065*c1-16),(0.0045*c1+16))
2 ifelse(a<500,0,((b-c)/a)*1000)

Using SAGA GUI there is no error.

Could this be because of some roundings in the input / output? (I'm sending for
the developer's list also).

Thanks!

Best regards,
Pedro Venâncio

Hi Pedro,

thank you very much to have tested the computation with my test data!
You are right, I checked again the computation and actually it works.

However, I was using Saga raster calculation in a processing modeler, and one
of the layer I share with you
is the resulting from a previous computation.

In other word the raster layer c=temp_recal.tif comes from a previous
computation (raster calculator):
ifelse(a>0,-(0.0065*a-16),(0.0045*a+16))
where a is the layer attached, and hence c of the previous formula is the
resulting of this first computation.

Hi Eugenio,

The result with SAGA Raster Calculator seems ok here, on QGIS 2.18.9, SAGA
2.3.2, both from OSGeo4W64 (result attached).

Z_top_res.tif have values from 724.403 to 1423.553, and so, the first condition
is never true. Then, it always make ((b-c)/a)*1000, and the result seems ok to
me.

Hi Paolo,

the raster have the same size and origin.
The pixels are precisely overlapped.

I tried also r.mapcalc, but I got a worst result.

[Qgis-user] "Hash Sum mismatch" in QGIS repository

2017-06-01 Thread Jefferson Ferreira-Ferreira
Hello everyone.

I'm trying to install QGIS in Ubuntu 16.04 and followed all guidelines in
QGIS website. But when I run sudo apto-get update I get the error message:

Get:7 http://qgis.org/debian xenial/main amd64 Packages
[15,3kB]
Err:7 http://qgis.org/debian xenial/main amd64
Packages
  Hash Sum mismatch

And it's preventing me to propoerly install QGIS. Any ideas on that issue?

PS.: I already (1) cleaned up apt-get and tried to update again, (2)
deleted all cached repositories and tried to update again (what download
fresh metadata from repositories), but it's not working.

When you create a new slope map using the RASTER > TERRAIN ANALYSIS > SLOPE

Re: [Qgis-user] (no subject)

2017-06-01 Thread Tudorache, Marian
Hi Fred,

You include quite a lot of questions.
Changing layer color is done by styling.
You click right on the layer and choose properties. Go to the tab Style.
You can change the color of the features displayed in your layer, the
transparency, unit of measurements etc.

Also I can't see a line of crosses, points opposite the nodes by the polygon
so I don't know how to do this does any know how to correct this, sort it out?
I think you refers to the points which build a specific feature.
If you use vectorial layers there are three types: points, lines and polygon.
You cannot have a layer with mixed types.
When you work with point layers it is simple. Each feature on the layer is a
point.
When you work with lines you see the lines which connect the point defined by
your clicks on the canvas.
If you want to visuals those points you need to have the layer in edit mode
and select a specific line feature, You can see the defined points by a small
red x.
The same with polygon layer type.

Be aware the lines which are drawn manually are simple. They do not follow the
contour of the earth like Great Circle, Rhumble lines. If you want to draw a
great circle line you need create plugin or used one of the plugins which exist.
You have all kind of processing algorithm which can operate on you layers.

Changing the layer symbols.
You can change the symbol but not the layer type. Go to layer style as I
explained above.

Do I answer to your questions?

Hi

I have been trying to learn how to use QGIS following the QGIS online tutorial.
I am on lesson 6.2 part 2. Though I am still struggling to work out how to do
this as my area of my places layer should be a different colour which I have
tried to change but I don't know how as its shows as green on the tutorial but
white at the moment does anyone know about this? .Also I can't see a line of
crosses, points opposite the nodes by the polygon so I don't know how to do
this does any know how to correct this, sort it out?. Also each of the layers
appear as symbols which I can't find, remember this being in the tutorial does
anyone know how to change these layers so there are symbols. I am basically
just stuck on this lesson which I am finding very tricky and I badly need help
with this. I have tried Stack Exchange but to no avail.

there seem to be problems with the Ubuntu runtime dependencies. I don't run

Hi,

Yes, simply open it in the new version. Not more. QGIS will inform you with

no guarantee to reuse in the older version. So you can either save as new
file or do a backup of the project file before opening it in the new

In both GIS the line direction of the digitised splitting line does
not influence the outcome.
After some more investigating in the ArcGIS behaviour I also found
some disturbing results. Here it can happen that parts on either side
of the splitting geometry are parts of a split off part. This might
actually be a right-hand-rule issue.

>> MapInfo has a more obvious approach. When you split a

Exactly. The result will be 2 polygons. The user can't decide. But he
does not have to in this case.
Each intersection of the original feature with one of those two halves
of the bounding box will end up being a multipart feature (given the
fact there are parts in both halves).
Same applies for the polyline split. It will automatically close the
polyline with the shortest connection and therefore you also have 2
"cutting polygons". One which is formed by the polyline and the other
would be the bbbox except the digitised cutting polygon.

Actually this is a quite straight forward approach to this matter,
which is also easy to understand for somebody who has never heard of
e.g. the right hand rule.

Exactly. Therefore having this combined in one tool would be a nice addition.
You could have following input flow:
- select "insert name here" tool
- digitise splitting geometry
- split
- click on split part
- further attribute editing

Or use e.g. the MapInfo logic to that.

[Qgis-user] (no subject)

2017-06-01 Thread Fred Ralston

Kind Regards

[Qgis-user] lizmap configuration disappeared

2017-06-01 Thread Otto Dassau
Hi,

login as admin to lizmap client (3.0.4) I cannot see the menu entry "my
account" anymore to configure the client. I only can click on "exit". I must
have set some wrong hooks somewhere during another session :( and after that
the menu disapeared.

Can I change some values in a config file to be able to see the Lizmap
configuration as admin again?

Hope the qgis lists is the right place for such questions. I haven't found a
lizmap ml.

thanks a lot

[Qgis-user] Authenticated data layers - WFS / WMS differences

2017-06-01 Thread Chris Buckmaster
Hi

I have PostGIS and raster layers which are served via GeoServer 2.11 - they
have a mixture of data authentication options with different user names and
passwords using the GeoServer security options.

When adding WFS services in QGIS 2.18.9, the layers perform correctly, with
only those accessible via certain roles / users displaying within the layer
list when using the relevant username / password.

When trying to access restricted WMS / WMTS layers, I have noticed that all
layers are appearing, even those that shouldn't be accessible via the user
authentication I am using (and I seem to be able to add these to QGIS).

Are these differences to be expected between accessing WFS and WMS / WMTS
services? Ideally I would only like to be able to see the data I have access to
in QGIS - I am not sure if this is a QGIS or GeoServer question.

Thanks, Chris

Re: [Qgis-user] Wrong result with Saga Raster calculator

2017-06-01 Thread Eugenio Trumpy
Hi Pedro,

thank you again.

If it helps, yesterday I tested the two operation in separate process,

I mean I performed Formula 1 and I saved the result as tif, the I run

the formula 2. I saw that there wasn't errors.

So I guess the problem is when I concatenate the computations in a single
process.

Let me know if the developers find out a solution.

Best,

Eugenio

Hi Eugenio,

I've created a sample processing model (attached), that works ok, except a
small error in the result (decimals).

For instance:

Raster ID Pixel value

Z_top_res a 1202,03510276

t_top_res b 53,6123428345

topoc1 -182,584899902

SAGA Result 1 c 15,1783676147

SAGA Result 2 d 31,9437332153 Diff
Expected Result 1
15,1783679504 0,00335741
Expected Result 2
31,974087 0,0303540069

Formula
1 ifelse(c1>0,-(0.0065*c1-16),(0.0045*c1+16))
2 ifelse(a<500,0,((b-c)/a)*1000)

Using SAGA GUI there is no error.

Could this be because of some roundings in the input / output? (I'm sending for
the developer's list also).

Thanks!

Best regards,
Pedro Venâncio

Hi Pedro,

thank you very much to have tested the computation with my test data!
You are right, I checked again the computation and actually it works.

However, I was using Saga raster calculation in a processing modeler, and one
of the layer I share with you
is the resulting from a previous computation.

In other word the raster layer c=temp_recal.tif comes from a previous
computation (raster calculator):
ifelse(a>0,-(0.0065*a-16),(0.0045*a+16))
where a is the layer attached, and hence c of the previous formula is the
resulting of this first computation.

Hi Eugenio,

The result with SAGA Raster Calculator seems ok here, on QGIS 2.18.9, SAGA
2.3.2, both from OSGeo4W64 (result attached).

Z_top_res.tif have values from 724.403 to 1423.553, and so, the first condition
is never true. Then, it always make ((b-c)/a)*1000, and the result seems ok to
me.

Hi Paolo,

the raster have the same size and origin.
The pixels are precisely overlapped.

I tried also r.mapcalc, but I got a worst result.
Here the output of the log:

[QGIS-it-user] 2.18.9 comportamento con layer WFS

2017-06-01 Thread Giovanni Pasini
Ciao a tutti,

Feature che Only request feature overlapping...

Spunto Only request feature
  overlapping...

Avete suggerimenti?

Grazie, saluti,
Giovanni

Re: [Qgis-user] Selecting displaced symbols

2017-06-01 Thread Neumann, Andreas
Hi Nyall,

Can you please estimate the time it takes to finish this old commit? I
think it would be really nice to have in QGIS 3. It always bothered me
(and my users) that we can't click on the displaced symbols.

How about QGIS server? Could your improvement also benefit QGIS server?
In the Web-GIS it is particularly hard to understand for users, why they
can't pick on displaced symbols.

Maybe we can find someone to finance this improvement.

Thanks,

Andreas

Re: [Qgis-user] Split features tool behavior

2017-06-01 Thread Bernhard Ströbl
ging step.

BTW: We should agree on common terms; these are the terms QGIS uses AFAIK: a
feature is a dataset, i.e. one row in the table; it can either have one
geometry or several geometries as spatial representation (or none but that's
of no interest here). If it has several geometries it is called a multi-part
feature, each individual geometry is called a part then. A polygon is a type
of geometry; if it is a multi-part polygon, each part is a polygon in itself
(therefore I tried to avoid "polygon" altogether and used "feature" and
"part" instead to be clear). An island is a hole in a single polygon, QGIS
calls it "ring". In DigitizingTools I use "gap" for a space surrounded by
polygon features but without being part of a polygon itself.

I hope I managed to follow that now :)

I was just puzzled by you using "island" in your last post, thinking you
were talking about geometries and not the real world :-)

The idea behind "Split off one part and add it as a new feature" is that you
cannot use "Split features" to extract a whole part (workaround would be to
apply "Split features" to the part and merge the two resulting new features
into one, but that's not intuitive :)

Chaining those 2 tools manually produces exactly the output I would expect.
- I use "Split Parts" and receive the halves which form the invalid geometry
- then I use "Split off one part and add it as a new feature" on the
part which I want to separate
- make sure the primary key is valid and
- done

this sounds like a straight workflow, although changing tools all the
time seems a bit inconvenient :-)

Bernhard
