You have also the possibility to use 'View>New map view' First you have to
define different 'Themes'.
Look at this

This is fantastic! Works vertical and horizontal, has one base layer fixed and
I can compare this one spontaneously to any other layer. It really helps
understanding the relations.

Thanks again, Germán,
Maria

[Qgis-user] What Happened to GRASS in QGIS

2020-07-05 Thread C Hamilton
I don't often use GRASS in QGIS, but there are some algorithms I need from
time to time. I just tried running them from processing in QGIS 3.14 and I
get this error.

This algorithm cannot be run :-(
The specified GRASS 7 folder "C:\OSGEO4~1\bin\bin" does not contain a valid
set of GRASS 7 modules. Please, go to the Processing settings dialog, and
check that the GRASS 7 folder is correctly configured

How do I fix this?

Thanks,

Calvin

2020-07-05 Thread Priv.-Doz. Dr. Maria Shinoto
Hi,

Thanks for hinting me to this possibility, it will come in handy when I have
proceeded a bit more with understanding my are, so, thanks again.

The beauty of the swipe plugin is not only, that it gives a nice WOW-effect
when talking, I now see how I can follow the development of a certain 3D
feature from my LiDAR data on an underlying old areal photo etc., very
intuitive and easy to follow with the eye.

Best,
Maria

Re: [Qgis-user] What Happened to GRASS in QGIS

2020-07-05 Thread matteo
Hi Calvin,

are you on Windows or Linux or OSX?

If Windows you should open QGIS with GRASS support in order to have the
algorithms available. In Linux you have to separately install GRASS and
eventually other dependencies, on OSX I don0t know :)

Cheers

Matteo
