Árni -

Are you using SMB/CIFS to access this NAS, and are you using wifi or
Ethernet to connect to it?

Hi Laurent,
the QGIS version installed depends on your Debian OS version and on the
package repository used to install QGIS.

What Debian version are you using? What repository? Did you follow the
installation instruction for you Linux distribution available on the
QGIS web site as mentioned in the QGIS Server Guide/Manual?

Re: [Qgis-user] How to count number of layers loaded in layer panel of QGIS

2023-03-15 Thread Ludwig Kniprath via QGIS-User

That depends on the kind and state of layers You want to count:

# All layers (as listed in TOC, included: "non-drawable" and invalid layers)

layers = QgsProject.instance().layerTreeRoot().findLayers()
# list-items: "QgsLayerTreeLayer"

# All valid layers (included: "non-drawable"-layers):
layers = QgsProject.instance().mapLayers()
# list-items: layer-id

# Only visible, valid and "drawable" layers:
layers = iface.mapCanvas().layers()
# list-items: layer

for layer in layers:
    print(layer)

print(len(layers))

Re: [Qgis-user] Adding the Ubuntu Repo in Linux Mint

2023-03-15 Thread Richard Greenwood via QGIS-User
I'm guessing that you are on version 21.x of Linux Mint. (You can check
your version at the command line by entering *cat /etc/issue*). At the
command line you can check that the Ubuntu QGIS repository is installed by
entering:
   *cat /etc/apt/sources.list.d/qgis.list*
if you get the following two lines then you're good to go.
   deb [arch=amd64] https://qgis.org/ubuntu jammy main
   deb-src [arch=amd64] https://qgis.org/ubuntu jammy main

Alternatively, you can check by using the GUI "Software Sources" >
"Additional Repositories" where you should see:

Hi Paul,

Run this on the Python console:

len(QgsProject.instance().mapLayers())

Best regards,

Jorge Gustavo

[Qgis-user] Adding the Ubuntu Repo in Linux Mint

2023-03-15 Thread Steve via QGIS-User
I have thoroughly confused myself with this, hopefully someone can help.
Following the instructions here:

https://www.qgis.org/en/site/forusers/alldownloads.html#

I did manage to install QGIS 3.30, but judging by the GUI software sources app
in Mint, I have not added the repo, so I am concerned about receiving future
updates.
In the box under Ubuntu instructions, the components are there (such as URI and
distro codename) but no word on how to order them or what commands to use to
apply them.

Should a user at my level perhaps uninstall the deb package and just download
the flatpak version?

Thank you!___
