[Qgis-user] Qgis-map scale and zoom on layout

2024-09-02 Thread Dario C via QGIS-User
Hi,

I have a multilevel base chart based on zoom level.
Sometimes, on my layout I have to use a scale beacuase of my paper size,
but I would like to follow criteria of the nearest zoom level chart.
For instance, I have to set 1:11.000 scale but I would like to see my chart
with the layers I have in 1:10.000.

It's like in the model space I set a scale, I lock it and than I zoom the
view.
Is there anything similar to the paper scale in order to force the
visualisation?

Thank you in advance

any luck.

[Qgis-user] Info based on scale (deliberately cheated)

2023-04-13 Thread Dario C via QGIS-User
Hi,

I have set a base chart based on zoom level (scale). Sometimes I'd like to
print something in a proper scale but having detail of other different
level of zoom (i.e. I have A3 in 5.000 but I want a simpler detail of a
10.000) Is there any way to do it?
The only thing I can do is set a smaller map (A4) and then I scale...

Thank you.

thank you. I'm gonna try. It looks I have just to select my layer and then

If so, do you have an idea how to choose also the second longest?

this is what I have in the code:

longest_line = max(all_lines, key=lambda x: x.length())

[Qgis-user] How to make diagonals

2022-02-03 Thread Dario C
Hi,
I have several rectangles (almost squared) and I'd like to represent
their diagonals.

I started to do with geometry generator with:
make_line(point_n($geometry,1),point_n($geometry,4))
and
make_line(point_n($geometry,2),point_n($geometry,5))

Unfortunately, even if they look rectangular, actually they have more then
4 points and, moreover, points do not always have the same order.

here below an example:

Is there any expression in order to pick the two longest segments
connecting all the points of the geometry?

What's the procedure to report a crash?

Suddenly (until yesterday I had no problems), if I export a pdf from a

The only difference between the day before yesterday and yesterday is that
I installed a network version (OSGeo4W Network Installer) maintaining the

Standalone is 3.16.12, network is 3.16.13. Crash happens in both versions.

Ok, I'm doing some test.
[image: image.png] Qgis is continuously updating only when I open the

This legend has the following expression and I guess "Intersects"
probably requires this kind of updating and resource:

"[%aggregate( '*LayerID*','count',"*FIELD*","*FIELD*" ='*FEATURE*' AND
*intersects($geometry,@atlas_geometry)*)%]"

[Qgis-user] Expressio too slow

2021-11-04 Thread Dario C
Hi,
I have a legend in my report that is calculating elements intersecting a
proper grid). I have around 10.000 points (not billion). It is working
well, but it is very very slow every time I want to edit the expression.
Delay on writing is around 10 seconds for each action.

Is there any way to stop calculation, write and re-launch calculation, in
order to write smoothly?

Thank you in advance,
Dario

Thank you for your reply. I have defined project colours as per your

from the project colour palette, but I don't see how to use it in an

[Qgis-user] Define ID for colour

2021-10-06 Thread Dario C
Hi,
Is there any way to assign an ID to a category in order to use the same
color assigned for other objects?

For instance, I'd like to have in my layout a bar with the same colour of a
categorized object (at the moment I simply do a copy and paste colour, but,
of course if I change the colour of the object my bar is not updated).

Thank you in advance

I have pressed the button "filter layer on map" unintentionally and it

[Qgis-user] File always reloads layers

2021-10-05 Thread Dario C
Hi, I'm working on a simple file with several layers. After months of
working, yesterday something went wrong: each time I click on a layer (just
click) or I do some simple action, Qgis goes in "not responds" .

Moreover, I have a categorized layer that it is well displayed in the
properties panel, but in the layer panel it looks as a simple symbol layer
(without flydown menu icon).

Is there any way to check what layer is corrupted or needs long time to
reload?
Or a general recovery method (like autocad)

Thanks

[Qgis-user] Grid shift FIle for MSI version

2021-08-31 Thread Dario C
Hi,

I'm working on a 3003 project with 7791 layers. Once I updated to 3.16.10
msi release I received this message:
*"The preferred transfer between EPSG: 7791 - RDN2008 / UTM zone 32N and
EPSG: 3003 - Monte Mario / Italy zone 1 is not available for use in the
system.*

*This transformation requires the lattice file
"35160622_47161840_R40_F00.gsb", which is not available for use on the
system. The current transformation "Inverse of UTM zone 32N + Ballpark
Geographic offset from RDN2008 to Monte Mario + Italy zone 1" has an
unknown accuracy, while the current transformation "Inverse of UTM zone 32N
+ Inverse of Monte Mario to RDN2008 (5) + Italy zone 1 "has an accuracy of
0.1 meters."*

and actually I have translated projection between 7791 and 3003 (around 100
meter)

I tried to install 3.16.10 exe (instead of msi) and everything works well.

Is it a bug or I just need a .gsb file? In this case, where can I find .gsb
file? Thank you

cheers

Hi,
if I launch QT Disegner and I press Help>QT designer Help I receive an
error message because it does not find assistance.exe
[image: image.png]
you can see that there is an error on "...\bin/bin..." folder.

If I try to launch assistant.exe manually I have an other error message:

it does not find libpng.

How can I fix this? I've already installed the software.

Re: [Qgis-user] How to make a table in a subsection report

2021-08-20 Thread Dario C
Hi, here in attachment a very rough sample.

This section is following the dot layer "telecamere", where I have a field
with the name of the gridname where they are. Of course I can have one or
multiple point in the same grid.
I have a small map (repetition of the main page and section), a picture
(I'm studying how to make it in a report, and a description form when I've
just transposed the records.
At the moment I have solved making a custom page (1/3 of A3 size), so I
have all the forms in each separated page and at the end I will compose
them using other software (PowerPoint, InDesign, whatever). I know, very
dummy way :)

Now, using this expression (of course), if I copy three times this form in
a full A3 format I don't have three different records, but always the same.

thanks

Re: [Qgis-user] Sum of field value within same cluster

2021-06-22 Thread Dario C
Hi Alexandre,
thank you for your reply, but I'm not sure I got it. I don't want to see
the @cluster_size (number of symbols within the cluster), but the sum of a
specific field.
I don't know what "@cluster_value" is. I see only @cluster_size
and @cluster_colour as options.

Thanks

Re: [Qgis-user] Sum of field value within same cluster

2021-06-22 Thread Dario C
Hi,
I think I'm on the right way using this expression:
aggregate('LayerID','sum',"FIELD",filter:=intersects(buffer($geometry,60),geometry(@parent)))

In point cluster I set 5 mm as distance (size of symbol is 4mm), so I
thought that the buffer of my expression needed to be 5. Actually 5 does
not work, so I changed to 5 multiply by the scale of the drawing
(1/12.000), so I set 60.
The point is that it works not so precise. In the screenshot you can see
that, when you have two cluster close each other, the total sum is correct,
but some parts are shifted to another cluster.

Thanks for your help

Re: [Qgis-user] Geometry generator - reduce line

2021-06-17 Thread Dario C
I solved the second part (label) using geometries generator also in the
location of the label
using the same geometry of the line
make_line( start_point( $geometry), translate( centroid( $geometry),
$length/10, $length/10), end_point($geometry))

problem with REDUCE geometry still remains...

[Qgis-user] Geometry generator - reduce line

2021-06-17 Thread Dario C
Hi,
I'm trying to do an arc starting from a simple line.

I'm using geometry generator with this code:
make_line( start_point( $geometry), translate( centroid( $geometry),
$length/10, $length/10), end_point($geometry))

and it is working well.

I'd like to have shorter line, so I started considering extend function
with negative paramtere, but it does not work:
extend(make_line( start_point( $geometry), translate( centroid( $geometry),
$length/10, $length/10), end_point($geometry)),-100,-100)
(with positive parameter extension works)

I have serached in the geometry category but I didn't find anything similar
to "reduce".

Other question, related to the same geometry. I want to have the label
curved and at the center of the arc and not of the line.
I tried with the expression:
translate( centroid( $geometry), $length/10, $length/10)
in the "label anchor", but nothing happen :(

  Any suggestion? Thank you!

And yes, I've replaced layer, filed and value with the real name.

Re: [Qgis-user] Fwd: error on counting inside a map

2021-06-06 Thread Dario C
Hi Andrea,
thank you for your reply. I had a glance at the list and I guess the one
more suitable is atlas_geometry.

I tried with ... AND intersects($geometry,atlas_geometry))%]
but it doesn't work. Maybe Atlas is working differently from "report"
function?

Thanks

Re: [Qgis-user] Fwd: error on counting inside a map

2021-06-06 Thread Dario C
I tested and in a standard layout it works very well.
Now I'm trying to use it in a report, where I have a grid and each page
follows the grid piece, ordered by crescent "ID". Even in the report, if I
consider what I see in the map_extent, it is working. But, in my case,
considering the grid is a little bit smaller than the map window (because I
need overlap), I need a filter on intersection with the geometry of the
grid.

Grid in my report is: 'Grid_layer', "ID_Field", 'ID_value' (such as A1, A2,
B1, etc.)

instead to have
aggregate( *'LAYERID*','count',"*KEY-FIELD*","*SPECIFIC-FIELD*" is not
null AND intersects($geometry,map_get(item_variables('Mappa1'),'map_extent')))

I'd like to use intersects with the current value of the ID shown in that
page of the report
something like
... AND intersects($geometry,get_feature ('Grid_layer',"ID_Field",'*value*
'

The problem is that 'value' (attribute of the piece of the grid) is a
variable.
Is there any way to call the current value of the grid in a report
(@element or something like that) or am I using a totally wrong expression?

Thanks in advance for your support.

cheers

Just a bit slow but it is working well!

[Qgis-user] Fwd: error on counting inside a map

2021-06-03 Thread Dario C
Sorry, I don't want to spam anybody. I send again my request, just in case
it never has never sent.
Thank you

Hi,
I'm trying to have a legend on my layout and I'd like to count the item
shown in the legend which are inside the map extent.

I'm using this expression but:
case 1) it gives me the total amount of the items (not filtered by map)
case 2) it gives me the total amount of the items shown in the map, but not
filtered by field

case 1:

aggregate( *'LAYERID*','count',"*KEY-FIELD*","*SPECIFIC-FIELD*" is not
null, intersects($geometry,map_get(item_variables('Mappa1'),'map_extent')))

result: 1965 (the same of the total *"SPECIFIC-FIELD" is not null* in the
project (not in the map)

case 2

aggregate( '*LAYERID*','count',"*SPECIFIC-FIELD*" is not null,
intersects($geometry,map_get(item_variables('Mappa1'),'map_extent')))

result: 583 (total amount of the items in the map, but not of that specific
category)

Difference between Case 1 and Case 2 is that case 2 has not "filtered by"
values in the formula.

Thank you for your support.

Re: [Qgis-user] Select data from a specific layer

2021-05-17 Thread Dario C
Hi, thank you for your reply, but I still don't understand how to do...
sorry

i tried to write this code in colour expression, but I don't understand
what "value" is in get_feature :

CASE
When
get_feature('V_TB_ATTIVITA_PT_NR',"Colore",'N')='N' then color_rgb (0,0,0)
When
get_feature('V_TB_ATTIVITA_PT_NR',"Colore",'R')='R' then color_rgb (255,0,0)
END

Consider that I have a virtual field called "Colore" where I have 'N' or
'R' in case it is black or red color.

Thank you for your kind availability.

cheers
