[Qgis-user] Oriented points in Oracle Database

2024-08-02 Thread Huesmann, Michaela via QGIS-User
Hello all,

in an Oracle DB I have a table with oriented points. In the GIS program
GeoMedia and GeoMedia Smart Client the points are visualised correct with
rotation but not so in QGIS. Is there a way in QGIS to use the rotation saved
within the SDO_GEOMETRY?
Also my points with rotation where already existing in the table. Now I added
some more points in QGIS but without rotation. How can I rotate them later? I
hope there is a way without adding an extra data field and inserting a value
for each rotation.

My geometries in Oracle look like these examples::

oriented Point in Oracle DB with rotation
MDSYS.SDO_GEOMETRY(3001, NULL, NULL, MDSYS.SDO_ELEM_INFO_ARRAY(1, 1, 1, 4, 1,
0), MDSYS.SDO_ORDINATE_ARRAY(391055.730698232, 5776970.49374646, 0,
-0.958224533235959, 0.286017034291192, 0))

oriented Point in Oracle DB without rotation
MDSYS.SDO_GEOMETRY(3001, NULL, NULL, MDSYS.SDO_ELEM_INFO_ARRAY(1, 1, 1, 4, 1,
0), MDSYS.SDO_ORDINATE_ARRAY(391052.320592445, 5776971.48062262, 0, 1, 0, 0))

Best regards,
Michaela

2024-07-02 Thread Huesmann, Michaela via QGIS-User
Hello,

ah, yes, now I found it. I was just searching at the layers context menu, not
for the classes. Thank you Stefan!

[cid:image004.jpg@01DACD26.28D6D470]

First I did only found this function for group visability.

By the way: there is a typo in the German language version. Turning layers on
and off in written the same. But one must be called „inaktiv“.

Maybe someone could correct this at some point. 😉

Hi Michaela,

if you select one of the categorized items in the layertree you can

toggle the visibility with the context menu (right mouse) and choose

"toogle items" or? "Hide all items"

[Qgis-user] add geometry to datasets in qfield

2024-05-14 Thread Huesmann, Michaela via QGIS-User
Hello all,

I have an xlsx table with data sets without geometries. I would like to
localize them and capture points by using qfiled on my smartphone.

In QGIS Desktop I have the option to select a data set in the graphic-free
attribute table and then capturing a geometry in the map window. For this I use
the “Add Part” tool. Is this also possible in QField or how would you solve it?

Thanks for your reply!

Thank you for your answers. I decided to place the leaf cut of the series of

[Qgis-user] Atlas - Map series along linear object

2024-03-26 Thread Huesmann, Michaela via QGIS-User
Hello,

I would like to create a series of maps using the atlas function and have
already experimented and watched videos. What I'm still missing is an example
of how I can create a series of maps along a linear object. E.g. a series of
maps at a scale of 1:500 with sections along a street.

  1. How to prepare the covering layer along the road?

  1. Can I use the same layout, e.g. A3 landscape, for all partial maps and
rotate the sections so that they are placed as horizontally as possible on the
map frame? Then of course an automatically adjusted north arrow is also
necessary.

  1. Or is 2. not possible with rotation and I then have to choose landscape
or portrait format depending on the position of the section in the north
orientation? I can then probably use the coverage layer to determine the
vertical or transverse extent of the section and then select the respective
side orientation.

Who has experience with the atlas along a line object and can help me?

Thanks and best regards,

Michaela

[Qgis-user] Georeferencing Raster

2024-03-15 Thread Huesmann, Michaela via QGIS-User
Hello all,

my collegue got some trouble with georeferencing raster images. As soon as he
activates the tool „LAYER >> GEOREFERENCING“ his system gets very, very
slw. It takes plenty of time even to open the raster image and then to set
referencing points. While changing the windows between Map and Referencing Tool
the windows are getting grey and show „No response“. In the end he doesn‘t know
wheter the system is still running or „died“ along the way.
I installed QGIS Version 3.34.4 now, but it ist he same behaviour as in hil
older version 3.16.
Is there maybe a special setting, that can be changed to get a better
performance?

Best regards, Michaela

Hello Richard,

thank you for creating an issue for that topic.
I tried to change the option like in your screenshot. But even after restarting

So I now use Franks hint and format the label with the expression.

Data in the gepackage looks like numbers/double.

What to use as separators depends on the language settings.
Besides the language there is also a setting for the Date/time/numbers
separators.

See screenshot

I think it should be possible to show those numbers with comma's if you choose
a locale with 'Fliesskommazahl' :-)

You probably have to restart QGIS to see it.
If not working please let us know.

If you want to add the angle of the underlying road automatically, this is
doable using aggregate() expression to obtain the intersecting road sement and
then obtaining the angle of the line using angle_at_vertex() function. You can
set it up so it gets filled automatically as soon as you add the point. See the
example at

I see. If the angle is from a fixed reference point, you can add an expression
using azimuth() function in the Attribute Form that sets the default value of
the attribute to the angle between the current point and the target point. If
your reference point is not fixed but you need to select it manually, you can
add the angle after digitizing. Use the 'Measure Angle' tool from the toolbar
and measure the angle between the target point and reference point. Make sure
to enable snapping so you get the exact point coordinates. Copy/Paste the
result into the attribute table.

From Geomedia, I'm used to the fact that when recording, you first click on the
position point and then record the direction using the mouse position. That's
what I was looking for in QGIS.

Thanks for pointing out that I can capture an attribute using rotation. I
already know that I can use the angle attribute to rotate the symbol. But it is
very difficult to determine the respective angle. If I type in the value
manually, I have to correct it 5 times until it is exactly as it should. This
is extremely unproductive. Rotating doesn't work with the "Rotate Object" tool.

From Geomedia, I'm used to the fact that when recording, you first click on the
position point and then record the direction using the mouse position. That's
what I was looking for in QGIS.
Best regards,
Michaela

Just add an attribute for the rotation/orientation. You can visualize them
using the technique shown here

[Qgis-user] Sequence of analysis steps

2023-11-14 Thread Huesmann, Michaela via QGIS-User
Hello all,

is it possible to save a sequence of analysis steps with processing tools so
that later changes to a sub-step affect subsequent analyses? I am very grateful
for any help.

I am familiar with analysis in GeoMedia. Every analysis step is saved there.
The data source used for a query cannot be changed subsequently. But query
parameters can be adjusted later.

Best regards,
Michaela

[Qgis-user] csv export - decimal delimiter

2023-10-31 Thread Huesmann, Michaela via QGIS-User
Hello,
I trie to export a layers attribute table to csv for opening it in Excel. I
tried that with Layer >> Export and also with the Plugin MMQGIS. But I can’t
get my double values with comma as dezimal delimiter. It is always a point
delimiter. Is there no way to set the decimal delimiter to comma?
Best regards, Michaela
